Great Indian Food — Restaurant in London

Beware ordering from this restaurant. The customer service is unbelievably bad. They will mess you around and refuse to make anything right if there is a problem. After an initial estimate of 15-20 minutes to get our food, we were waiting over two hours, repeatedly being fobbed off with "it will be there in 10 minutes" (spoiler: it took another hour and fifteen minutes from the first time we heard this, and we were told the same thing maybe three or four times). Every time, a call back was promised with an update, and never materialised.

After the third call, we asked for a full or partial refund, as it was past 9pm after ordering at 7; they fobbed us off again and lied about whether or not they'd dispatched the food. They also then offered us a refund, but only if we'd cancel the order. We said we'd wait a little longer for them to find out what went wrong, and once again, they said they'd ring us back.

10 minutes later, we had to ring back again. We were told that they had told the driver to hold the order, incase we cancelled, without telling us. We then asked to cancel as we wanted our money back, and would get food from somewhere else - and they said "ok, but we won't give you a refund, we'll give you a voucher or something. Goodbye" then hung up the phone.

At this point as you can imagine, we couldn't believe what had happened. Through Uber eats we managed to get half refunded, thankfully, but the restaurant wasn't helpful at all.

Don't eat here. They're clearly paying for reviews and placement on delivery sites (eg. sponsored on Uber eats) - support genuine local restaurants who don't try to...

This place serves really good Indian food! What a discovery in Hackney Central! It is just for take away. They have just 2 tables but they are normally used by deliveroo drivers. It was my very first time and after checking the menu I decided to order the Lamb Biryani. Truly delicious! And most importantly, prepared with love. You can feel that when you get a take away.

Unfortunately, the first guy who served me didn’t have a proper training. Who knows, perhaps it was his very first day (perhaps very first hour…). He was saying I had to order the rice separately. However, very rapidly, Mann, the other server, appeared and said that the Lamb Biryani was a rice dish. (So including rice) I am a lamb lover and the thing I hate the most when I go to a curry house is to find pieces of meat with fat in it. In my opinion, the meat has to be totally lean. No fat at all. And guess what? The meat here was wonderful!

The portion was really really good! Price (£11) wasn’t cheap but I am glad with the portion and with the amount of meat!! (6-7 lamb cubes) It is good to know this place. Ah, I almost forgot, Mann offered me a loyalty card (as you can see in the pics)

I ordered chicken tika yesterday and after waiting 20 minutes I got home and it was completely wrong order I called the shop and he took my name and apologised and said when I am next around he would rectify the problem, well I went In today 1st Nov and I explained what happened and the guy on the till expressed his concern and asked me what I wanted instead, after some 25 minutes thinking I was getting my right order after all the mistake he turns round and says he can't find the order and asking me who I spoke to. I couldn't believe he had he waiting 30 minutes after taking my order but because of there miscommunication and lack of keeping record he refused to actually give me my order. Shocking experience I will not be returning there anytime soon. Much better service and better food in other areas to be honest. Very...
