Lovely venue, awful and aggressive bouncers on some sort of a power trip. I’ve seen numerous times bouncers pushing people. I saw them deliberately holding back the last person in the group on the pretext of checking ID, checking they're not drunk etc. When the last but one person has disappeared from line of sight of the door, they refused entry. Of course the rest of the group think their mate is right behind them and the poor person left outside has to somehow try to get in contact with them. I saw this done numerous times but the worst was to that lady. She was so distressed when she was refused the entry (while the rest of her group got in before her) and tried to argue with the bouncer who just pushed her out the way on the pavement. She desperately tried to contact her mates. When the mates, incl her husband, came out even they couldn’t get the bouncer to let her in, even though she had the ticket. I think she didn’t have the ID on her. (So did I but I got in fine.) Then the manager got involved yet still the bouncer was refusing her entry! Apparently by then it was a matter of honour (according to the other bouncer). I mean who is in charge here, bouncer or the manager?! I watched it all standing in the queue in disbelief. I think everyone was, as the atmosphere in the queue was of complete silence. The bouncers are really letting...

I was there yesterday with six friends, we had a very nice first part of the night. We attended the concert of Luis and the shakes. There was a second part of the night which required to pay another ticket, we asked the price and has been told £6 because we already attended the first part of the night. They asked every one to leave so we could enter again. We left and came back, the guy checking the line told us that was £10, so I said that could not be correct as has been told £6. His answer was very discriminatory saying that is because of Brexit, because of Euro everything is more expensive, obviously was a joke to us as was very clear we were not British. While we were deciding, he approached us and said “perhaps, only cash!”. Nothing else? Say that you don’t want us in! We were there before paying the ticket, buying a very high amount of beer and was not our intention to stop spending money once back inside. Long story short? Dear Moth club choose better who works for you because you have lost 6 good clients and who knows how many others yesterday night. If this is your vision of customer care, you will never see us again!!! P.s. To the guy at the door…for sure was not us voting Brexit! Your choice your consequence! I will be European forever...

I’ve been hearing about this place for nights on a decade and finally got here to sample it. A renovated old military members bar it has the distinct feel of a classic working men’s club so you rapidly see how it became popular in a hipster area. Service at the bar was fine.

We went for comedy and had to buy off an app which proved a real pain. At over £16 a ticket we were confident the acts would be decent enough. Sadly, this proved a bit too optimistic. Not being funny (much like the comedians) but you simply can’t charge prices like those for amateur comedy. It was a stretch to call it comedy at all. Was more like an amateur theatre group who forgot the punchlines. We felt really awkward sat there having to force smiles for these appalling acts. It was two hour’s we’ll never get back and at no point could you come close to a laugh. We’ve seen plenty of comedy in our time but never something as abject as this. It’s actually scandalous to charge so much for such abysmal acts and means I can’t imagine trusting paying for any acts this venue again. Management need to be more discerning with regard to the acts they put on given the prices they...

I just saw Queen Priyanka perform on January 11, and I absolutely loved the concert! All the performers she brought out were fantastic, especially our newly crowned winner of Canada's Drag Race, The Virgo Queen! The atmosphere was amazing. The venue is quite small and the show was sold out, so it got pretty hot—definitely don’t bring a jacket like I did or you’ll end up carrying it around for a few hours. I was in the fifth row, and although there were some tall people in front of me, I could see most of the performances. However, I would be concerned about arriving late, as you might not have a good view. It's worth noting that the entrance for the artists is shared with everyone, which makes it a little challenging for them to get on stage. Additionally, the venue is not very wheelchair accessible, but the staff did arrange a small space for disabled patrons near the stage, which I thought was kind and thoughtful.

Overall, what should have been a fun and pleasant evening started off on the wrong foot by a rude security guy. Came around for a mid-week gig. Arrived a little early, as I had not been here before. Asked the security guy outside of what we thought was the place to confirm were were at the MOTH Club. He confirmed and adding in all practical terms that we should F-off, as the doors were not open yet. We went to a pub around the corner waiting, and came back to when the tickets said the doors would open, and they eventually did. Once the queue moved to us getting in next the same guy were there remaining on-brand for his unpleasantness. All in all, it gave the evening a sour taste. Luckily, the bar staff at the actual venue were super nice and the bands were brilliant. Could certainly have ended up being an overall bad experience, but there were happily some redeeming aspects. Not that I am in any hurry to return.
