Terrible experience at Harry’s. My iPhone got stolen while sitting outdoor and it happens often according to different restaurant staffs’ words. Highly recommend restaurant put a note on the table to remind customers not to put their phones on the tables and be alert of their belongs. Losing a phone is just sad and unlucky really, but the way Manager Leo handled it and his words made me angry.
3 of us were seated outdoor, around 7:55pm, I found that the phone was lost. At first, they seemed try to help and asked us about the time of the incident, which we could tell the exact time period 7:10-7:50pm as it happened not long after my second fd has arrived and we still had the phone and used for photos. We told them there was a 50-60 years old lady came in side the restaurant area, stood next to me and put down her newspaper on the desk (which was on the top of my phone) to see if we wanted to buy or give her some coins. We believe she stole it at that time. As she was the only one approached closely.
They checked 2 CCTVs (which we didn’t ask for) and Leo said confidently that lady did not take my phone and he did not see my phone on the table when the lady came. I said: okie(doubtly), did you see who took it then, during 7:10-7:50pm. Leo said he only focused on that lady and he couldn’t focus on two things at the same time. He tried to make me think that my phone wasn’t with me when I was in the restaurant. However, we 100% sure it was with me.
Here were the things Leo said, “For me, I don’t care you I care about if that lady took it and we wanted to catch her for our restaurant good.” After I told him, you must see who took it as my phone surely got stolen during 7:10-7:50. Then he kept telling the same thing, during 7:20-7:38 we didn’t see your phone on the table. I said, if you check 7:10-7:50, you must see who took it. If you don’t care who took my phone, then you don’t need to come back to me. And also, I asked that are you saying my phone was not with me at all time while I’m here. He didn’t answer YES or NO which is a simply question right? Given that he mentioned confidently that CCTVs could see the table clearly.
Later, another staff Daniel came to me said that we did see your phone and you brought it to the bathroom. I said “I did not go to the bathroom at all.” I started feeling angry and confused why would they kept trying to tell me 1) they couldn’t see my phone on the table and didn’t see I have my phone 2) now he tried to make me think I might lost in the bathroom which I didn’t go.
They tried to convince us that I didn’t have my phone with me, they wanted me to believe I lost it before I came to the restaurant at first, after I confirmed that we 3 people are 100% sure I had the phone as we did use the phone. Then they tried to say I might lose it on the way to bathroom or in the bathroom. I’m the pixie short hair girl and it’s so easy to identify me from the CCTV. It makes me very confused why would they said those things and refuse to tell me who took it. Which I’m quite sure was that lady I mentioned.
To be honest, losing a phone is sad only and i didn't ask them to check CCTV and i know it's just bad experience, not anyone’s fault. Even thought my fd think the restaurant should have responsibility to do something to protect us, specially their staffs told us that it happened quite often there. More Ridiculous is, the table on the another side of the outdoors entrance, got stolen at the same night too. I know Leo tried to make us think this incident is not often and didn’t want us to bad mouth the experience. The conversations we had (many time) you could just tell that he is a lousy man and not a sincere person and didn’t take single customer seriously, no matter what good words he said it loud.
Before leaving, i asked him intensionally that anyone else got their phone stolen tonight except me, he said NO very firmly. He lost my respect.
From my friends comment, bathroom is nice and food was very good. For me, I lost my...

We booked here for my 21st Birthday after seeing the amazing reviews online and the truffle pasta. We turned up to the restaurant and was greeted by a lovely lady who asked whose birthday it was and wished me a happy birthday. We were then seated. From the moment we were seated we were treated like a nuisance. We seemed to of had some Btec footballer celebrity sat beside us to which we presume was a manager (young, dark hair lady in a grey suit) was overly obsessing over and flirting with infront of us. She made a complete fuss of him. At this point we had ordered food and it had arrived however our drinks hadn’t. We turned to speak to the manager as she was leaving the guy, to which her whole demeanour changed. She went from being over the top to very short and blunt with us. She turned around to us and said “what is the problem”. We advised her that our drinks had not arrived to which she seemed less than interested to sort and that we were a problem for even enquiring. She proceeded to turn back to the guy still carrying on the conversation and completely ignoring us. One kind waitress brought them to us after a couple minutes, letting us know she had gone out of her way to chase them for us. This same manager proceeded to give us dirty looks as we enjoyed our meal. Another manager/owner on two occasions (tall, older man) brought round wine to try for this celebrity and the two ladies sat on the other side of us. Not once were we entertained or acknowledged. Both parties had these managers ask them about their meal and whether they were happy. We didn’t receive this.
If things hadn’t of been bad enough, we then asked for our bill after finishing our meal. The same rude woman manager was huddled around the waitress we asked for the bill from, whispering to her . This kind girl brought it over to us, but to our surprise we were overcharged £26 for items we never had. We raised this with the waitress saying we never had never ordered these items and asked for the service charge to be removed as we had had enough at this point. The girl raised this to the same manager to which she was not happy and proceeded again to give us death stares. We finally received our bill correct and paid. On the way out the same manager again proceeded to give us a dirty look.
I’m not sure whether we were treated this way because of our age or the way we looked but I have never once been treated like this in my life nor have I written a review before but considering how disgustingly we were treated and how it ruined my birthday, I felt compelled to. Thankyou to the lovely waitress (glasses, scrunchie in her hair) for your kind service and treatment. To the lady manager who treated us this way, you should genuinely feel ashamed and disgusted. Staff should treat all people the same regardless of age, race or gender. To this manager, you were incredibly discriminatory :) just because you think we are young and won’t pay for a...
