A Wonderful Morning at the London Bee & Beer Experience! 🐝🍺

What a fantastic experience! We took part in the honey harvesting and beer tasting at Hiver Taproom, and it was such a treat. Getting a first-hand look at how honey is collected was genuinely fascinating, and the team were so knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. We only tried one beer - made with honey but it was excellent. Smooth, flavourful, and with just the right hint of sweetness that tied in perfectly with the whole honey theme. The staff made the experience relaxed and fun, and the location itself is lovely - in an area I didn’t even know existed! A real hidden gem. Highly recommend it if you’re after something a bit different, with a great mix of learning, tasting, and good vibes.

We were gifted this beer tasting experience (bought from virgin experience days). We had a good time learning about beer in general, and their specific beers that include honey. I wished they included their cider in the tasting too (saw it on my way out when leaving but had no time to try it). Mike was really good at explaining everything (and making us laugh in-between). I really enjoyed the moment where we tried the honey that was used for each beer - just wished they would give each one directly after (or before?) trying the specific beer. Overall I'd recommend it. The area is very pretty to walk around and try other craft beers nearby.

A 'must' visit if you are in the area and certainly worth travelling over to if you are not! Dropped by as I was near the market and wanted to see what all the commotion about this 'Honey Beer' was! I was taken on a short yet sweet journey by one of the bar team into the amazing goings on at Hiver Beer! I loved it so much that I tried all three beers made with honey, (blonde, brown ale and IPA) all of which had there own particular charm and tasted fabulous! This is an amazing space to bring friends/family and is situated perfectly in the beer(y) location of Bermondsey. You can also bring in yummy food from outside and eat it in the 'arch'. Cannot wait to go back again! Highly...

I love Hiver beers, ever since I first tasted them during a beekeeping experience at Bee Urban in Kennington in 2019. I recently ordered a tasting pack of beers, including their honey blonde, amber ale and newly launched session IPA. They are all winners in my view (although I have a soft spot for the amber, which has a lovely lingering malty aftertaste). You would think that, having been brewed with honey, they would taste awfully sweet, but they don't. They are very refreshing, thanks to the process of adding the honey at the start of the fermentation process in place of other sugars. The honeys have been specially selected to give each beer its unique flavour....
