Jamminz Caribbean Take-Away — Restaurant in London

The perfect hole in the wall counter food experience. I've never had Caribbean food before and this was the perfect little intro... methinks I'm gonna be back to try it all because what I got was fan-effin-tastic. I got jerk chicken wings with rice and beans, one lamb patty, one chicken patty, and a rum cake to finish it all off. The jerk chicken was just the right amount of heat and I was literally licking the sauce off my fingers. The patties were the perfect ratio of pastry to filling. I wasn't sure about the lamb because I am pretty finicky about the gaminess I can handle but it was cooked just right... one can tell its lamb without being thrown off by the lamb-flavor. Bombdiggity. Rumcake was fantastic. A little coconutty, a little banana-ey, just the right amount of sweetness. De-licious. Like a newborn foal, I had to ask what the person behind the counter preferred/recommended but he hit it on the head every single rec. Definitely will be back. Only thing that could've been better was the rice and beans. I recognize I have unrealistic expectations when it comes to rice, but in my honest opinion, a little dry and bland. I wish I had a vat of the jerk chicken sauce to pour all over it cuz I'd probably kill it if it did but alas I did not have that ungodly amount to spare on the rice. But absolutely if you had hesitations to try this place, don't. It's amazing.

The first time I placed an order with this Caribbean company for home delivery. it will definitely be the last. The only reason why I gave it two stars because of the driver. The delivery time was long in my opinion.

I ordered the following: ×2 Escovitch (Tail end). This is large meal, really. When Opening the order for the fish. I was shocked It was not a whole fish, which I expected. The fish were so dismantled. My poor mother spent most of the time picking out the bones. I don't believe it was Escovitch fished. It is disguised absolutely awful. Unfortunately I ordered two Escovitch Fish with rice and peas. The other orders were: X1 fried dumpling. It was so hard to eat, it was like eating a stone. X The plain white rice was tasteless. Jerk chicken was bearable, but pretty tasteless too. The only reason why I ordered from this company because of the reviews were good. Now it makes me wonder if they are authentic. But this review is authentic. This certainly was not worth £49.00. If the owner could not provide the request, especially with the fish he should of been honest and made me aware, as I spoken with him before the...

Over priced , not to mention you get hardly any food, first time I tried the lunch time deal I had finished the food by time I got to my car , today I gave him another try this time I said a medium which was £2 more then the lunch time deal , was in the same lunch time deal container, , the size of the container only has enough room for rice but yet they try to some how put The meat in the same compartment , so I got wings too just to try fill me up £10 spent . Wings were disgusting , the jerk ones anyway , taste like he put chocolate sauce in them , will never go back again tried twice...
