KFC London - Waterloo — Restaurant in London

So, this was our first trip to London, and our very first time at KFC. We ordered using the screen things (don’t know what it’s called in English) and it was very confusing, had very little info and not really many pictures to describe what we ordered. Looking back, this is kind of funny now, but it wasn’t in the moment:

So my friend ordered 4 pieces of boneless chicken with fries. When she was done, we were both like - that sounds like a very small meal (we were starving after hours on a hop on hop off bus, not to forget we thought this was like the chicken nuggets from McDonalds) So, I ordered what I thought was 14 chicken nuggets-ish things for us to share and maybe bring leftovers back to the hotel. Oh how wrong we were.

My food took a LONG time. No wonder, cause what I had actually ordered was like 2 kilos of some horrible bony chicken in a bucket. And like 5 bags of fries and a HUGE bottle of Pepsi max. I understand now all the weird looks I was given. Another customer even said; “ wow you eat a lot of food” Yeah. Safe to say, we shared my friends meal, left the 4 whole chickens in the bucket and did a walk of shame out of there. It wasn’t very tasty or anything special either, so kind of overrated for us, without taking into account the misunderstanding which led to the most embarrassing thing about our trip to London. I wish the staff could’ve informed me what I had actually ordered just to be sure the very clear FOREIGN tourists knew what to expect. Probably won’t eat at any KFC again. I mean McDonalds is better and that says a lot. Anyways, we laugh about it now. But I was horrified...

Went to this KFC yesterday, purchased some food and then forgot the chips so did a separate order for 1 portion of chips. Once paid, the system told me there was an error with the order and to retry or cancel. I got someone from the shop to help who told me that the order had fails and to do it again, I told the man that the money has left my bank because my Apple Pay notification had come up, they told me to replace the order and I told them that without a void receipt or proof of a refund I was not replacing an order and I wanted the chips I had paid for. After a bit of back and forth the man told me it will get refunded because it was only pending and they will just give me the chips.

Today the money cleared my bank account so if I would have replaced the order I would of paid twice and if I would have left without the chips I would have paid even though they told me it was a pending transaction that would NOT clear my bank.

This may sound petty but to me this shop is scamming people, pretending that orders are not going through and then making you replace orders.

I told the man I do not live close by to come back and tell them if I don’t get a refund so maybe they assume that lots of people do not live local and will be easy to scam people for a few pounds on small orders.

The staff here are not kind whatsoever, they are terribly rude! My boyfriend and I came in to buy some food and we needed to use the restroom as well. We decided to go to the restroom first but the manager or whoever seemed to be in charge told us that the restroom was currently being cleaned and it would take 10 mins. Since we were going to order something anyways we said it was okay and proceeded to wait. The line started to build up and there was a child behind us who needed to use it pretty badly, at that point it's been 5 mins since we waited so I let the mother know it would take a while as per what the man said, the kid was about to cry mind you and the manager still didn't open the door. 10 mins passed and finally he gave the key to an employee to open the door to the restroom. No one was inside cleaning, he literally opened the door and went in to place two rolls of toilet paper inside and said yeah go in... They also didn't acknowledge me when I tried to order until I said "hey can I order something?" What bizarre behavior to be honest. I do not recommend anyone come here, seems like they have an issue with anyone using their restroom, why...
