There are a lot of bakeries in the Notting Hill area, but Kuro Bakery stands out for me because of some of the more unique items on their menu. These include their Sākuro Pastries, which are delicious. My personal favourite is the Pistachio flavour.

Their customer service is also very good. I contacted them recently, as I wanted to purchase their Guinness & Chocolate Ganache Cake, but could not order it through Deliveroo.

I contacted the bakery and Olive from the team was incredibly helpful and arranged a collection for me. I really appreciated it, as the cake was for a special occasion. The other staff at the bakery are also friendly and helpful when you visit in-person.

I do recommend the Guinness & Chocolate Ganache Cake if you are looking for a chocolate cake which is not too sweet. It has a really nice contrast between the slight bitterness of the Guinness and the sweetness of the chocolate.

Kuro Bakery is definitely worth a visit whether you are looking for well baked conventional breads and pastries or something a little...

Arrived at 11:15, got sweet treats and a coffee to go. I got the blackberry cream cheese sakuro pastry (pictured), canelĂŠs, and a carrot cake.

The sakuro was £5, very nice, you can’t go wrong with cream cheese! Sweet and salty from the cheese, though pastry could have been a little crispier.

The canelĂŠs are also very nice, custardy and chewy with a few flavors to pick from too.

The carrot cake on the other hand, for £5.50, was really really average. The spices didn’t come through, was super sweet and oily, cream cheese icing was heavy and really gritty, it’s more of a “cake” than “carrot cake”. Maybe it was just a bad batch, but I’d just stick to their pastries and avoid their cake in future.

Staff were very friendly and helpful in explaining what everything was! They...

Kuro in Notting Hill is a hidden gem that combines minimalist aesthetics with exceptional food and coffee. The moment you step in, you’re greeted by a calm, welcoming ambiance with a modern, Japanese-inspired design. The menu is thoughtfully curated, offering everything from perfectly brewed specialty coffee to fresh, creative dishes made with high-quality ingredients. The avocado toast with yuzu dressing is a standout—bright, zesty, and utterly delicious. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring you feel relaxed and well cared for. Whether you’re stopping by for breakfast, brunch, or a coffee break, Kuro is a Notting Hill treasure you’ll want to return to again and...
