I would say 3.5 stars, but since we are not allowed to give a half star... This is a review on their afternoon tea. At the hostess station, we told them we have a reservation for afternoon tea. It was like a large tent, had an upscale, whimsical feel to it. I liked the greeneries everywhere.

They had a book and a box on each table, the book was utilized as a menu holder. White box was full of sugar, with a tiny little ballerina in it. Loved this!

Once we were settled, a staff brought over the choices of tea in bottles. Each one named in Alice in Wonderland theme. When the three-tiered afternoon tea treats arrived, we were all excited. They were so cute and whimsical! It came with loads of tasty-looking items.

We had: Smoked Salmon Scotch Quails Egg, Stack of King of Hearts Ham and Parmesan croque-monsieur, Cornish Crab Brioche Roll, White Rabbit Cucumber and Cream Cheese Sandwich, Alice's Exotic Fruits Drink Me Potion, Queen of Hearts rose and strawberry Jammy Dodger Mocha chessboard gateau, Tweedle Dee lemon curd financier, Mad March Hare vanilla pocket watch macaroon, Chocolate and raspberry Blue Caterpillar, Wonderland marshmallow magic mushrooms, Mad Hatters lost carrot meringue, Sandersons warm scones

When we were getting close to the end, a staff brought a little flower pots for everyone. It was Salted Caramel Ice Cream with Honeycomb on top. It was really tasty!

We had a fun, whimsical afternoon tea here for sure. The quality of each food item was, well, more “style over substance” if you know what I mean. They all looked great, but the flavor was not as strong for most. The savory items had better, stronger flavor than the sweets. Most of the baked goods and desserts were overly sweet. We still enjoyed the...

Afternoon Tea. Overall 4/5. Great experience. I would recommend and go back. I highly recommend not eating before you go. Maybe a super light morning snack but do not eat a full/heavy breakfast otherwise you won’t be able to enjoy all the treats!

FOOD - this was my first afternoon tea experience so I have nothing to compare to, but I felt the food was pretty good. Nice variety and the flavor of the pastries/sandwiches was good. And you can request more of any item. There were a few items I didn’t like but that’s my personal taste. Nice selection of teas as well.

SERVICE - service was good but nothing over the top. Our server explained the menu to us and went over the food when it arrived. I felt the service was slightly above average and the staff was friendly, and they congratulated us on our anniversary.

VALUE - you’re obviously paying for the experience, but I think it’s a good value for what you receive. I do wish the “champagne package” came with at least two drinks per person (without raising the price). But I liked that my husband was pleasantly surprised of everything else that was included.

ATMOSPHERE - it was pretty quiet when we went, (12pm on a Thursday in November), so this could be a different experience depending on time of day/day of week you go. Everything was so cute, nicely decorated and I felt comfy and cozy sitting outside in the enclosed patio under the heat lamps. The Madhatters theme is done tastefully and not too juvenile, which is really nice because you don’t want to feel like you’re at a child’s tea party. They do a great job of keeping it adult and fun.

LOCATION - where the hotel is located, it’s a great...

My family and I went for afternoon tea to celebrate my sister's birthday. Although the food itself was delightful, the service is dreadful. For the amount that you are paying for this tea you would expect some level of professionalism and attention but, after we were seated, our table was completely forgotten. During the first pot of tea we recieved, the waiter forgot to bring milk. We had to flag someone down and ask for this which took about 10 minutes. We recieved our food and the milk promptly after but, no one explained the dishes we recieved (the waiter had said he would explain, but I suppose he forgot). Then, when we ran out of tea, we had to wait 20 minutes for our waiter to even walk by so that we could call for him to ask for more. After ordering more tea we waited 30 minutes... to our surprise, no tea arrived! We were able to flag down our waiter after 5 more minures and inquired about the status of our tea to which he responded by asking us to remind him what teas we got. Once we ordered the same tea again, we waited another 5 minutes for them to bring the tea. That is over an hour without tea at an afternoon tea. This is unacceptable. Only at the end of our meal were we asked by a manager if we needed anything. Our waiter never checked in, rarely walked by, and only came over to help if we practically yelled for him. Mistakes happen but this would have been easily remedied if the waiter checked in even one time. Despite the food being good, I would never ever come back. This poor service left my sister's birthday celebration with thirsty and unhappy guests. If you like to actually drink tea during your afternoon tea, do...
