Last evening, my team of 13 and I had the pleasure of dining at Mina's and what an experience it was! From the moment we walked in, the warm atmosphere and the welcoming staff set the tone for what was to be an unforgettable meal.

I chose the Nona Ragu, and it was a decision I didn't regret. The dish was a delightful journey of flavors, perfectly seasoned, with a serving size that was just right - satisfying yet leaving you wanting just one more bite. My colleagues explored a variety of dishes, from the richly flavored pastas and crispy, airy pizzas to a refreshing salmon salad. Each dish was met with nods of approval and content smiles all around.

To complement our meal, we opted for red wine, which the staff selected beautifully to suit our varied dishes. The wine was a hit, enhancing the flavors of our meals and adding to the evening's jovial mood.

Service at Mina's was impeccable. Attentive without being intrusive, the staff were on hand to ensure our meal went smoothly, contributing to the overall positive experience. Had the truffle pizza (sourdough) and lobster pasta (linguine) for dinner. Please don’t waste your time to get food here. I’ll give you a detailed review;

Lobster pasta - biggest disappointment. Linguine was over cooked (they use dry pasta and still overcooked it), sauce was watery, lobster didn’t taste like anything… overall dish didn’t have much taste at all. Which is surprising given the dish is almost £40 and should contain lobster… I “suspect” that they only use pre-cooked frozen lobster flesh and don’t use the shells or intestins to add true lobster flavour.

Truffle pizza - dough was super thin and burnt and dry. Biggest problem was that the cheese on top was super rubbery… they didn’t use fresh mozzarella and used shredded. The taste showed it couldn’t have been good quality cheese.

Atmosphere - I sat outdoors. There is constant roaring of super cars in the area which makes the vibe very unsettling… There is another big outdoor seating area for another restaurant just across Mina and this just makes the whole street very loud and noisy. Do not expect a pleasant buzzing atmosphere here. I visited when the weather was very nice (25 ‘C) and still didn’t feel it’s worth it.

Service - the two ladies who served our table was very friendly and attentive. However it took unnecessarily long to get the food, although we orderd around 5:30 pm when the kitchen wasn’t busy at all.

Overall - I really don’t understand the good reviews that this place has. I can only think most ppl gave good reviews because they didn’t have food?? I can’t believe some ppl actually rated...

Great food but poor service and management.

Recommended by a friend we had high hopes for Minas, a good location with pretty decor and the menu was good. Unfortunately slow, poor service and greedy management let it down. I would not visit again.

The restaurant was quite empty, only 3 covers when we visited yet the food was slow to come out, some drinks were wrong and others never turned up. 15% service charge?! This is not America. Our server was disinterested throughout our visit, despite the quiet room it took forever get our plates cleared.

When the bill came (with a £3 admin fee per person for paying via their app) I asked to pay with card rather than using my phone. I was told it had to be done via the app, I noted the card machine at the waiter’s station and with some discussion with other staff and plenty attitude from the server we were able to use it.

The good food dragged you up to 3 stars. But with a higher than standard service charge I would expect higher than standard service, especially given the location of Belgravia. I hope you can improve...
