Sitting outside of the restaurant gives a sense of peace since the narrow street and the tables takes you to a Mediterranean country, despite the fact of being the hectic heart of London.
The obliging and charming service leaves you breathless. In a world where people are used to machines, screens and technologies, a service as the woman who works there gives you the goose bumps since she does nothing but caring about you and your comfort. Her kind words, pleasant manner and human side is what makes you feel in high spirits.
Small tables but tasteful. Even though the amount of food is just short, the flavor is tasty. As a share we ordered Ensalata Ceasaer which was amazingly delicious, I'd rather a lil' bit more of Caesar sauce though. The Salmon pasta is a worthy speciality in light of its tasty flavor and creaminess which makes your mouth water from the very beginning is holding on your table.
I can write plenty of wonderful reviews for Misto because it deserves, but I'd like to give just a positive and helpful review about one of the plate which is Lasagne. In my eyes, the lasagne we ate had too much cheese. We ordered Lasagne beef, thus you may expect a good amount of beef covered with souce of tomato and cheese, however it didn't live up to our expectations due to the huge amount of cheese... Honestly, we had to leave the Lasagne because it was too heavy with no taste of beef.
All in all, I deeply recommend this...
Read moreVery happy with our visit to this lovely little place. It's tucked down a side street and rather quiet, and though rather tight in seating downstairs, this worked well in crafting a cosy, warm ambience on a gloomy afternoon.
Food was quick to come, wonderfully warming, and flavoured strongly enough to leave a pleasant lingering aftertaste without the sense of having eaten a whole bulb of garlic as Italian places are often prone to do!
On a side note, it's important to highlight my othe half's initial booking on a Friday night was lost to the system and they were unable to accommodate it at the time - this was a real shame for her due to the booking being for a particular event, but there was a genuine reason behind it and the owner acted quickly to rectify it with a very generous offer which we were able to take up upon our next visit to London.
This reflected extremely well on the service element as they dealt with the issue quickly, and fairly, and I feel many other places would not have done the same if they were in the same position. Monica was also fantastic throughout, with the perfect mix of attentiveness and delight without being too overbearing, and I would say she's a credit...
Read moreWe came for a late lunch on a Wednesday and couldn't have been happier. In a stroke of luck, the two of us got a seat right at the window of this extremely romantic location. We could people watch in the little "Diagonal Alley" setting and enjoy an incredible meal. The place only can hold about a 14 people on the ground floor and six outside. No idea how many upstairs as we didn't go up there. I went all in. I had the Ravioli stuffed with crab special. It had about four very crisp shrimp with it and the crab ravioli made me want to cry. Having a home in the Chesapeake bay, I eat a lot of crab. Kinda like Bubba Shrimp, I can list a LOT of crab meals. This should TOP the list of exceptionally tasting dishes. I stole the left over crust from my lunch date's pizza to go with it and was just in heaven. Definitely needed some sort of crispy bread with it, so do what you can if you are able. Since it was an Italian restaurant (and I had the day off!) I added a Negroni. Wow, it was EXACTLY how it should be prepped. Just a real memorable meal in our visit to London. Staff, spot, food - all working together for a...
