🚇 Green Park 🍺 £6.70 London Pilsner ❤️ A cosy boozer in a great location. . The Kings Arms is located amongst the quaint shops and restaurants in Shepherd Market. The nearest tube station is Green Park, be sure to walk up atmospheric White Horse Street to get here. . A pub was established on this site in 1742. The original name of this pub was The Three Jolly Butchers, in 1785 the pub was renamed The Kings Arms. . Once you enter through the pubs curved facade you arrive in a low ceilinged bar full of old world charm. There are beams across the ceiling and plenty of dark wood abound. The seating is predominantly poser tables and there’s room to stand at the bar. There is a large screen showing live BT & Sky sports and a good sized servery. If you head up the curved staircase you’ll find a dining area overlooking Shepherd Market. . There is a solid beer selection including four cask marque certified real ales. I had a pint of London Pilsner which is a @portobellobrewing beer, I haven’t seen this on offer in a @greeneking_official pub before, a nice surprise. My pint was great and very enjoyable, price point was at the higher end of the richter scale. The food menu is classic pub grub, Fish & Chips costs £16.49. . I visited on a Saturday lunchtime and the pub was fairly busy with a broad mix of clientele. The staff here were on point, the chap who served me was polite and the floor staff were checking back on punters enjoying their food. . The @kingsarms_mayfair is a pleasant cosy boozer which didn’t disappoint. The ambiance and atmosphere were excellent and the staff were keen to please. The beer is good, if a little pricey and there’s hearty food if you feel peckish. You’ll like this one 🍻. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 08/10/22

Title: A Memorable Birthday Lunch at The Kings Arms As I celebrated my birthday, I decided to treat myself and some friends to a delightful pub lunch at The Kings Arms, and I must say, it was an experience to remember. From the moment I walked in, Shane the Assistant Manager greeted us all like long lost friends and he had decorated the table in true birthday style, creating the perfect mood for a wonderful afternoon. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcomed right away. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh, it was simply divine! For the main course, we all opted for their classic Sunday roast, and I was not disappointed. The meat was perfectly cooked, the Yorkshire Puddings light and the vegetables wonderful. To top it all off, I indulged in a decadent dessert – their sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream. It was the perfect sweet ending to an already fantastic meal. Overall, my birthday lunch at The Kings Arms was nothing short of spectacular. The combination of delicious food, welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service made it a birthday to remember. I can't wait to come back and explore more of their menu in the future. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

Kid friendly!!! This is another pub underneath the Greene King umbrella. We visited another pub under the Greene king in Bath, UK ( Saracens head) and LOVED it. The Kings Arms did not disappoint. The menu is the same as the menu in Bath, UK but each pub is allowed to create their own, specials menu. Like all their pubs we visited so far, you're greeted with the classic, British/Victorian pub style. The service was prompt and friendly. And just like the Saracens Head, the food was fantastic. Having been in the UK for 3 weeks, I was craving a little bit of home, so I ordered the loaded nachos and they were amazing. Better than what I get in the states, although a much smaller portion. My wife got the Pulled Beef Rib Cottage Pie and it was very good too. I'm starting to believe that you can't go wrong with a pub under the Greene King umbrella if you're looking for great food and service. Restaurant is clean. Bathrooms are clean. Food is great. Service is great. I would come back here again and recommend this place if you're near the Buckingham Palace.

Unfortunately, our visit was quite a disaster and a disappointment, and I will not be coming back here.

It started with the online booking tool, I tried to place a booking, got charged the deposit, but didn't actually get a reservation, so I had to email, as they didn't answer the phone, and got one a couple days later. Then after our meal they couldn't see the transaction on their system so they couldn't deduct it from the bill, even though I showed them the transaction on my phone, so I paid the whole bill, and they said they would contact me to get me that back. They still haven't as of a couple days later.

The service was poor and slow. It took us an hour from sitting down to having our food orders taken. Then it took another half an hour for the food to actually get served, at which point they had forgotten the extras we had added on, which caused the food to go back to the kitchen and it arrived somewhat on the cold side after.

They were also out of stock of several basic items, including the beef roast, which we managed to get the last of after an almost 10 minute discussion of the waiter with the kitchen. They even ran out of milk for the coffee!

The food itself was also rather mediocre. The carrots were under done, the roast potatoes were under done and not crispy, 1 out of 3 beef roasts was completely over done and dry. But the other two were fine. And that after half an hour wait while it...

Over all the bar was very cute and the food was yummy classic English pub food.

I have to mention my experience was a bit tainted, from the encounter with one of the staff members.

My partner booked a table for 2 for lunch on a Friday. However my flight was delayed by 40 minutes so we missed the original booking time. He called a few times to change the booking but the line was not working/calling through.

We arrived with a few friends (so bringing more customers to the venue to eat and drink). The staff member who greeted us was very hostile and aggressive when communicating that we were late for the original booking, the staff member wouldn’t let anyone talk to even explain about the calls not being answered/going through.

I honestly understand the frustration and we were apologetic about the situation, but to be treated like that and not given an opportunity to even speak, especially when we were trying to calmly explain to the staff member what happened, was just a bit jarring.

In the end we were able to seat down for lunch, there was plenty of free tables. The waitress we had who severed us was really lovely and helpful.

So overall bittersweet. I really get impacted by little aggressive encounters like that. Hard to shake it off and feel relaxed. But the food was good and the other staff members were lovely. So hopefully others have a...
