Spent a week at this hotel while traveling for business. Wonderful stay, staff were friendly and helpful, wanted for nothing.
The rooms are tastefully done mixing tradition with updated modern amenities and a great, clean, and newly renovated bathroom that's all tile and glass.
Rooms were serviced daily. There's a refrigerator, safe, closet, iron (that didn't leak!!!!), full-size ironing board, two thick robes and slippers (that I personally didn't use), strong free uninterrupted wifi, and windows that open enough for a decent breeze. You'll want to close the windows at night, though. After all, it is downtown London, so there's quite a bit of street activity all night long and closing the double windows completely blocked out all noise. I believe the room had air conditioning because I saw grates in the ceiling, but the weather was temperate during my stay, so I had no need to activate it.
The lower level is where the front desk is, and has a full bar and a great sitting room, and it is also where breakfast is served. Breakfast happened to be included with our room costs, but the prices are very reasonable, as you can see from the menu, had they not been.
I'm a Hilton Diamond member with over 1,000,000 points in my account and would choose this hotel again in the future based on value, luxury, staff, and overall experience. The savings at the time of booking was around £40 per night as opposed to the Paddington Hilton where I've stayed in the past (which is also a great hotel, but during this trip, as I said, the cost difference couldn't be ignored). Of course, pricing will vary throughout the year.
Located 100 meters from the Russell Square underground and across the street from a lovely park, there were a couple of local pubs nearby that have great food.
The only negative is that the Morton doesn't have a fitness option. Neither a room with equipment nor a relationship with a nearby facility, which admittedly I missed.
All that said, I really enjoyed this property and still have no idea how the cat plays onto...
Read moreWe recently stayed at The Morton Hotel for our anniversary.||The hotel Is a boutique type hotel and is lovely. We we were delighted with our room which was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Also appreciated the robe and slippers. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel throughout, our bedroom, and all areas of the hotel were spotless. A big thank you to the staff for looking after our room. ||All the reception staff who looked after us were very nice and helpful with a particularly mention to Mimi who looked after us, she was very kind and efficient. Our room was ready ahead of time which helped us to unpack and head out for the afternoon. We also used the bar, which again is really nice and cosy.||The area where the hotel is situated is really nice, within easy walking of Euston station and with a nice park opposite and it was a lovely area to walk round. It's very near Russel Square tube station, but due to strikes we didn't use the tube. We found most places such as Covent Garde, Leicester Square and the West End were all within a 15 -20 minute stroll. |The hotel team even sent us a card and treats for our anniversary which was a really nice touch and much appreciated. ||I would certainly stay at The Morton again without hesitation as it is very nice and convenient whilst being in a nice and slightly more relaxed area. I would definitely recommend the hotel as a great place to stay on a...

The hotel is very close to Russel Square station. Piccadilly line runs to here straight from LHR so that is a bonus. However (just a note), this tube stop has a large number of stairs and no escalators, only lifts. So upon arrival we did have to wait rather long to get a lift in the midst of morning commute traffic. Several other stations relatively close too.
The hotel staff were always very friendly. We arrived early morning and they were able to arrange for our rooms to be available sooner than later which was greatly appreciated. We were offered juice and water too while we waited.
My sister’s room was rather large with a chaise lounge, a chair, a vanity, and the wardrobe. Ours however was mostly just the bed with a small vanity in the corner. We did have a King bed though so maybe that is why. The bathroom was nice and big in both rooms. Rooms were clean and the hotel was relatively quiet.
Two small things though - The rooms were pretty warm. We were able to open our bathroom window a few inches which helped but the street noise was too much to leave open all night, so we did get a bit warm over night. Also, the flags over the entrance to the hotel were just outside our window and the clanging against the flag pole was a bit noisy. It wasn’t enough to keep us awake but...
