I've been a regular Nando's customer for 8 years. My local one is the Baker Street branch, but I have visited many other locations. And sometimes food is better than others, as it happens everywhere, but there are always some standards that are met. We visited this one, which we had visited on the past, with two friends that were visiting London for the first time. What a disappointment. I've orderded the beanie burger, which I love and find super tasty. It was super dry and lacking flavour, felt like a tasteless thick and dry paste. The bread was hard, I assume it was from the day before. I also ordered creamy mash, which is my favorite side, and it was bad. Tasted a bit funny and it wasn't creamy at all. In fact, it was so thick I had to take a sip of water every time I had some to be able to pass it through. On othet circumstances, I would have complained, but we were with our friends and it was almost closing time, so at that point I just wanted to eat something quickly before getting home. On top of all this, the food fell really heavy on my stomach and I wasn't feeling well. There were barely any soft drinks available and the female toilets were extremely dirty and smelled really bad. A horrible experience. I always give good ratings even when food is not amazing because I like to support business and workers, you can check my profile and verify there's barely bad ratings. But this was awful, if it was my first time at Nando's I would never come back. I regret not asking...

My recent visit to Nando's in Covent Garden left much to be desired, despite initial hopes for a pleasant dining experience. From the moment of arrival, the service fell short of expectations, highlighting a lack of attention to detail and customer care.
Upon arrival, my family was asked to wait for a mere 5 minutes, only to find the restaurant significantly underoccupied upon descending the stairs. The disregard for safety, particularly evident as staff engaged us in conversation while navigating narrow stairs with a young child in tow, was concerning and detracted from the overall experience.
Opting for table service via QR code, we encountered further disappointments as our order arrived with notable delays and several items missing. Despite bringing the issue to the attention of the staff, only two out of the three missing items were rectified upon inquiry. The insistence from the staff that we had not ordered the third item until presented with the receipt was particularly disconcerting, suggesting a lack of accountability and professionalism.
As a patron of a renowned chain like Nando's, one would expect a higher standard of service and attention to detail. Regrettably, my experience fell short of these expectations, leaving a sense of dissatisfaction and disappointment. It is my hope that Nando's Covent Garden will take steps to address these shortcomings and uphold the reputation expected of such an...
Read moreOn arrival we were told it was going to be a 20min wait. We were a little undecided about whether to wait or go and stepped outside for a minute to discuss. We decided that we would wait but on returning there was no one around to take our booking. We waited a few minutes before going downstairs to the restaurant to see if someone else could help us. We stood at the bottom of the stairs where one attendant was chatting to somebody. At no point did he acknowledge our presence & it was only when he was called by the other attendant behind the food counter that he showed us to a seat. So no 20 min wait in a restaurant that was less than half full! We ordered the platter containing chicken thighs and butterfly breast. Our sides were piri chips and garlic bread. There was no spicy rice available. The food arrived and the way it was presented unceremoniously chucked onto a plate looked very unappetising. It would have been better to serve the chips individually. It was the brown colour from the chicken, the chips & bread that all blended into one & looked unappealing. The chicken tasted fine. The garlic bread was nice but the piri chips were average. I think however, the overall experience & look of the food was disappointing and it is unlikely that we will return to Nando’s...
