On Christmas eve 24th December 2019, around 3 PM I went to Nando's Fulham Broadway to have a meal with my friends. We went over the counter and were served by a staff. Then another staff who was standing next to the staff we were talking tried to engage in our conversation. I will call this staff 'racist staff' for the time being. The racist staff asked us where we were from and we told them we were South Korean. All of sudden that racist staff started to stretch his eyes while pointing his finger at his colleague 'He is Korean too!. I was quite surprised he can be that blatantly rude and we were frankly shocked. As we were having our meals we were discussing how to make a complaint. After we finished our meal we went over the counter and asked to see a supervisor or manager. A manager was there but he said he was busy counting the cash he could not speak to us. Firstly he ignored us. Then finally he told us to speak with the very first staff (that was the person who first served us). We told this staff (although he witnessed everything from the start) that what his colleague was did is absolutely horrible and rude. An act of racial harassment. This staff apologised but what we wanted was an honest apology from the perpetrator. Finally the racist staff came and just said 'sorry' and went away. I would like to ask if this is the way Nando's treat people from different culture and background. It will be helpful to know because I will personally make sure I let other people know how unprofessional and inappropriate customer treatment they have.
