Situated in Great Portland Street, Noodle & Snack provides a comforting setting to savour an array of authentic Northern Chinese dishes. This charming eatery strikes the perfect balance between friendly service and culinary prowess, offering guests a dining experience that is as inviting as it is delicious.
One of the main attractions on their menu is the Chongqing Street Noodles. Presented in three tempting variants: spicy, sour & spicy, and roasted pork, I opted for the spicy and sour & spicy versions.
The Spicy Chongqing Street Noodles (9/10) £10.80 are a delightful surprise. Delivering the perfect blend of heat to stimulate your palate without overwhelming your senses, this dish is an absolute treat. The broth itself is wonderfully aromatic, its robust flavours elevating the overall dining experience. For those seeking a touch of tang, the Sour & Spicy Chongqing Street Noodles (8/10) £10.80 are sure to hit the spot. Offering a harmonious blend of tart and fiery notes, this dish exemplifies the simplicity and homeliness of good comfort food.
In comparison to other Chinese noodle shops in London, such as Mr. Meng and Lanzhou Lamian, Noodle & Snack stands out. It excels by offering dishes that are less oily than those found at Mr. Meng, and presents more robust flavours than the somewhat overrated Lanzhou Lamian. However, the crown of Chinese soup noodle craftsmanship in London remains firmly held by Master Wei Xi'An. Regardless, Noodle & Snack possesses its own unique charm, blending a welcoming ambiance, warm service, and gratifying meals. This winning combination is sure to draw in any food enthusiast visiting London.

Read more😡really PISS ME OFF by the lady who works here very big difference of the service between Mandarin speaker and non Mandarin speaker
Want to order sour and spicy noodle with less spicy, and she just bring me the sour flavour noodle and told me add the chilli oil on the table myself. Excuse me? then why don't you recommend another dish if you can't do it?
Don't offer the water to us while she is happy to offer for the other group of Mandarin speaking guests , and refill for them very friendly.
When we wanted to pay the bill, we wanted to do it separately and she just threw the bill and told me to count by ourselves and tell her how much we needed to pay, while she served very very kindly to the Mandarin speaker by asking how would you like to pay the bill.
???? I am completely pissed off by that so I asked her to remove the service charge because I didn't receive any service from this impolite lady, and of course she refused and started to go up her voice makes people think I am the one who is doing the wrong thing.
Totally unacceptable...

Was hungry for some Chinese food and on another app, Chinese students really like this place, gave it a try and loved it. Ordered the BiangBiang beef noodles, Xinjiang big plate chicken noodles, and spicy beef tenderloin. The BiangBiang noodles tasted like how it should be, slightly spicy and with the aromatic taste with big flat noodles 👍, the Xinjiang noodles wasn't spicy at all, it tasted good but the BiangBiang noodles were better. And the spicy beef tenderloin was a nice side dish to go with the meal (not that spicy).
The staff were really nice and didn't hurry us.
Recommended to come and try for lunch or dinner.
Oh, they might add specials on the wall (though in Chinese), and there's a wall with a bunch of chalk writings in Chinese... its for speed dating, jokes, or...
