Perfect Chicken — Restaurant in London

Imperfect chicken: the chicken wings are actually quite decent, but prices have doubled up recently, which isn't great for a cheap fried chicken joint and the staff is consistently absolutely horrible, then again, they definitely don't work the easiest job in town. The vibe ? Quite a unique melting pot of drunkards finishing their nights and trying to soak up all the alcohol and various chemicals they ingested with a bit of chicken and fries, a unique sight, a singular ambiance with people going from pure joy to absolute sadness, with the local crackheads begging you for money while you wait, you won't find in any other establishment like this one for sure. If you get a menu with a drink included, staff will conveniently forget about asking you which drink you want, you'll have to remind them for sure. If you go there late at night (the only time you should go there really), they will try and overcharge you a one or couple of quid almost every time. Go there at your own risks, never tap your card unless you can see the price on the card machine matches the one advertised on the display menu. You'll probably be too drunk to even realise their fleecing you...

I don’t usually write reviews, but Perfect Fried Chicken on Mare Street definitely deserves it. I actually moved from Whitechapel to Mare Street, and one of the things I was most excited about was being closer to this place – that’s how good their food is.

Their Smash Burger is honestly next level. Juicy, full of flavour, with just the right balance of sauce, cheese, and that crispy edge you want from a proper smash patty. And the Half Pounder Burger? Massive, satisfying, and cooked to perfection every time. You can tell they take pride in what they serve.

Disturbing and sexist behaviour, avoid this place!!!

We are two adult women who were treated with appalling disrespect at this chicken shop. The staff member – around the same age as our sons, - was rude, manipulative, and displayed blatantly sexist behaviour.

He made us feel unsafe, uncomfortable, and clearly tried to provoke a reaction. To make matters worse, he even attempted to film us without consent, after already humiliating us.

This was not just bad service, it was aggressive and deeply inappropriate. We strongly warn other women, especially single women, to avoid this place. There is absolutely no respect for customers here, and the behaviour we experienced was completely...
