After months of seeing reels of this place I had to give it a try. Unfortunately for us Canary Wharf station was closed that day so it did make the journey quite hellish. So it was nice to arrive walking through this garden space up to the restaurant you could hear the music blaring as you were coming through as they have a DJ most nights generally very Techno house vibes. Service was questionable there seem to be lots of staff frantically running about yet if you seem to notice I was trying to get their attention to order drinks. I believe we waited at least 15 minutes for our drinks to come which were lovely but the bar was only about 20 feet from our seats so it seemed quite a long wait. Especially as these drinks are not very complicated. Once they arrived we took a chance to ask to start our order while the waitress was at our table this process was fine we ordered the beef burger Mac and cheese miso salmon and salad as well as calamari. When is eventually arrived I must know this took quite awhile as well one of the burgers was cold so again we had to struggle to get the attention of the staff. And through my poor reading skills this beef burger was in fact a beef brisket which I’ve never had before. I did enjoy it it was nice and full of flavour but very difficult to eat as it’s tough to chew through brisket but for the price it was nothing special. The fries were very standard the only thing to say about them is potentially that they were too salty. As many of you no one here Mac and cheese is my favourite food so I was very excited to try this and I have to say it was my favourite part of the meal. It was topped with Parmesan and breadcrumbs and was perfectly crisp and creamy with a strong cheese flavour. My friend who had the salmon said it was nice but lacking in flavour considering it boasted itself as miso salmon. The calamari was nice but again nothing to write home about. The atmosphere in the place was vibrant there was lots of groups who look like they had come after work dinner and drinks and all couples coming for a drink or a bite to eat you couldn’t argue the place wasn’t popular. Just as it came to paying the bill I was recording a story to post on my Instagram and noticed a mouse running across the beams in the background this we knew we had to mention when it came to paying for service etc , and when we did the response “yes there’s two of them they just come from the garden”. We did in fact remove service as it had been quite poor throughout the night and the mouse had kind of topped it off. Overall I would rate the food is 6.5 out of 10 the value for money are 7 out of 10 this is mainly based on the price of the drinks being reasonable considering it’s London and the atmosphere if it wasn’t for the mouse would’ve been 9 out of 10 but because of that and the fact that it was slightly too loud 8 out of 10. I would come again although probably slightly earlier in the evening around six instead of eight as I feel due to its late opening hours people drink from 10 till 1 am in there. See final pic for mouse

A welcome new venture in Canary Wharf, with terrible timing given the pandemic! However I imagine the quieter start to the business has allowed any early teething problems to be ironed out, as when I look at early (poor) Google reviews and compare them to our experience yesterday, there doesn't seem to be much correlation. We had a terrific time, with the highlight being the excellent level of service from our waitress Lily and the rest of her colleagues. The menu is compact - mains comprise of three or so of each type - veg, meat and fish - but there is enough variation between the dishes and the starters and sides to create a suitable meal for anyone. My partner's vegan choices were excellent - the cauliflower skewers substantial, well presented and very tasty - and how great it is to find a restaurant willing to make a burger cooked medium as opposed to the ubiquitous well-done. The burger itself was of modest size but packed full of flavour and in truth more than sufficient for me along with a couple of sides. We are personally not such a fan of high tables and chairs, however we were comfortable and the atmosphere of the restaurant is really lovely. It is almost a large-scale hideaway from the hustle and bustle (when the Wharf gets back to being busy) of daily work life. Very good Pergola.

Went today with my friends to have some brunch and some drinks. Venue is beautiful and spacious however wait times could be improved and training in some staff. Track and trace link that they include in the email booking works but is not accepted at their venue so the security were being difficult about that. Please update this if it doesn’t apply to your venue. (Please see attached image, it’s for the Paddington site?) Food and drinks were lovely and the service we were provided with by the team leader was amazing. The portions are on the smaller side so would recommend ordering extra sides! However we waited over 50 minutes for our food to come out and had to ask our waitress twice for an update as we were getting hungry :(. We were informed it was the first day that they were serving brunch so they were uncertain about times and how the kitchen were really behind on orders. There was plenty of staff however it was just really slow in terms of waiting. We also asked to move seats as most seating is on high tables and chairs so beware of this issue and put a special request in if you want to be seated on the ground. One waitress said she could not move us as that was our allocated area however there was plenty of seating. In the end, a gentleman kindly moved us. Overall I enjoyed the vibes, music and food/drink. Just disappointed in the wait times for food and waiting nearly an hour for breakfast to come out was quite underwhelming.

Very disappointed with the service I received yesterday. I came down to participate in London Cocktail Month, which the venue was heavily promoting with plenty of leaflets inside. I’ve gone for the Belvedere Lemon & Basil drink for me and my friend which was £10 each rather than the usual £7 for the scheme. The drinks were prepared by a staff member who must have just been hired and had absolutely no clue how to make them. I could see him walking around and asking lots of people for advice on what to add, and being corrected by another member of staff just before handing them out that he forgot to add one of the most important ingredients… the actual alcohol… They topped it off with a low-key mouldy and brown scraps of basil and, seeing our reactions and realising their lack of skill asked “how is it? Is it terrible?” clearly indicating that they knew they were not doing a good job with it. Didn’t stop them from charging us the full price which was just completely unjustified. Only after I paid for them I also realised that the “discount” was just £1 so not exactly a bargain, considering the whole point of LCM is to have cheaper cocktails. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the chosen flavours were good but the execution was horrendous. I’ve attached picture below to showcase just how bad it looked.
