Rocket — Restaurant in London

I booked a Christmas lunch. I understand how busy this time of year can be so when they came back to the table for a third time after ordering drinks to advise they didn't have that spirit it was OK... However, it was a sign we should have taken and left. Drinks came and we ordered starters and mains, shortly after the waitress came to advise that they had run out of three of the meals so could we re look at the menu and choose another dish. . After 1hr the waiter came to apologise and advise it would be 5 mins more vefore starters came out. We were all quite hungry at this point. At 1hr 10 mins I went to investigate where our starters were... (They had allocated us 1.5 hrs for the table). I asked the waitress if there was any chance of us getting a starter she advised they were just plating them now. I explained that we had been waiting 1hr 10 and she told me they were busy. I explained I could see but if they couldn't service everyone they shouldn't have not taken bookings all at the same time. I asked how long the mains would take as we did actually have to get back to work. She said she would find out and come to let be know. I advised we may have to cancel if it was a further hour delay. The waitress came to advise tge kitchen staff were not working on anything and they do not start nails until tge starters are done.. (we were finished as were all so hungry). I asked realistically how long it would be before we would see our mains.. the with said if they started cooking now it would be a further 45 mins... I told her to cancel, whilst I understand its a Christmas lunch 2 5hrs wait to actually get your main main too much. The manager did come over and apologise, advising there was no excuse and told us he was taking care of the bill. The right decision given tge drinks mains and length of time. Shame as we were all looking to a nice lunch after reading...

Waited forever for drinks (20min) and food (nearly an hour). Was not pleased at all. Not to blame the waitress, she did her best to manage everyone’s expectations and explained the shortage of a chef. One of the waitresses working downstairs at the bar area ignored a clear request as we had no-one to assist with seating us. She continued flirting with a patron over a bottle of wine. We had already been waiting around 10min to be seated with no queue, we ended up seating ourselves after being ignored. The lovely waitress upstairs in the restaurant asked us to move to another table for 2. Would expect a restaurant based in CW and priced at your level to more prepared for a Friday evening. Food was ok once arrived, cold fries. Thank you, but will not...

Came here on Monday to enjoy a beer and some basic food. I liked the atmoshpere and the option to have proper dining area upstairs as well as sitting in the bar section. I opted for the bar area and was greeted by Pedro, he was very friendly and took my order for a beer and a burger. The beer swiftly arrived, the burger took some time, Pedro informed me that the kitchen had a larger order and my burger would be next and 5 min later it was there.
