We were promised the private for our 22 friends area via telephone conversation with the manager of the Rolling Stock and confirmed via email. On arrival we were told that they had no recollection of the phone conversation. My friend who had made the arrangement with the manager had to show the email to them before their selective memory came back, at which point the manager then changed his story now claiming that they had double booked and that they had sent us an email cancelling our arrangements only hours before we were due to arrive. Initially feeling very disappointed by this, we then asked what could be done for us, the manager replied nothing and told the bouncer we would all have to pay £8 each, Just for the entry fee. I’ve been here a few times before and never had we paid £8 on the door, £5 max and even that it too much for this usually mostly empty club. They refused to offer us a guess list entry despite the fact that it was them who had supposedly double booked. We were offered no explanation as to why the other booking had been given priority over ours and was offered nothing by way of apology or anything as a good will. Instead they were very cold towards us and made us feel unwelcome. My friends and I have been here many times before, we always spend a lot of money at the bar and we have never caused any trouble or been a problem in anyway, so we could not understand why we were met with such a cold reception. We decided to take our money and good vibes elsewhere to a bar not far from the Rolling Stock, where we were met with a warm friendly welcome along with a free entry and enjoyed much better music and atmosphere then we would have otherwise. I know for sure I would no longer ever return to this wannabe club as we have now experienced a much better vibes in various bar/clubs elsewhere in shorditch, without the stupidity of the unorganised and prejudice management. My advice is, don’t go to the Rolling Stock, as you will be ripped off at the door for the entry fee and you will find that the club is probably empty once your inside. We went here on Friday expecting a good time and were greeted by kind bouncers. We dealt with horrible service at the bar. When a friend suggested that her drink wasn’t good, and asked for another instead- the bartender proceeded to mock them, and would not exchange it for another. This bartender clearly lacked the people skills or decorum to interact with customers. What’s even worse is that his colleague purposely came to the opposite side of the bar where we were, made a drink, and proceeded to spill it on me. It was crass, and indicative of who they are as people- bullies. At the point that it became harassment, we decided to leave and inform the bouncers of what took place. They apologized and suggested better places to go.

EDIT 9/12/22: Upon reviewing the owner’s reply I am deeply concerned about lengths the owner is willing to go to lie and defraud others in order to escape responsibility for the disgusting behavior of their employees. Release footage, which will clearly show a drink being spilled. How can my concerns of harassment by your employees be motivated by transphobia? My experiences are very real, and if you collected “eyewitness accounts” as you claim, your bouncers would have recounted the experience. Your on duty manager might have very well been engaged in the bullying.

We held our work Christmas party at Rolling Stock last year and i can honestly say it was the best one we've ever had! The venue is awesome, a great place for a party, with lots of different spaces; a dancefloor, chill out areas and a garden. Then the lovely management team, along with the staff, were always on hand to help. They were totally open to anything we wanted to do, super chilled and helpful with our ideas and on hand to answer any questions- and there were a lot of them! They worked with us to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it, with little personal touches that went outside of their norm and even on the night they were always on hand to help with anything extra that we needed. Their team is super helpful and fun and i had so many comments from everyone on the night at how impressed they were. Plus the food is great! They made the whole experience really enjoyable and i would definitely go back to them in a flash to hold another party or even just for a night out! Thanks so much again!...
