Super hot day and we found on Google this cute little cafe/bookshop. Don't be put off by the decor, it's dated and reminds me of the 90s with all the children's books. However, the staff are super friendly, attentive and helpful. We got an iced lemon tea, iced soy decaf coffee and a GF Victoria sponge (~£8-9). The iced coffee included a syrup too, which I asked more of as I couldn't taste it and they were very kind to add some more. Drinks were good and the GF cake was a bit on the dry side but it was still very tasty. Plenty of seats and fairly quiet place to hang out with friends/study/for a drink. Definitely will go again! Great bookshop for those with a conscious, those interested in alternative economics and the Quakers. What’s nice is that you can grab a hot drink and snack, relax and have a little read of books before buying. The Fairtrade cafe is next to the bookshop in an open plan area.
