I won’t be surprised if the rating of this coffee shop suddenly decreases within the next couple of days or months! It’s been one of the best and few go-to coffee shops in london for the local community to focus on work and study but apparently since yesterday only (26th of October) the management suddenly applied an unnecessary no-laptop policy and I was approached by the security to inform me 4 hours after the shop has been already open and operating while all of the other tables had their laptops already open and working for obviously hours before!

I ended up leaving the coffee shop and i dont think i will ever go back again due to unexpected approach although the food and coffee is at a very high quality!!

If the management was firm enough with their unexpected decision they would’ve informed the customers at least at the counter before them ordering and deciding to sit instead of wasting our time!!!

It would be such a disappointment for a local gem such as this one to lose a majority of their recurring customers due to this. Goodluck on gaining the trust of your loyal...

I agree with most reviewers on the quality of the food. Coffee is ok. But then London doesn’t really have excellent coffee anywhere. The low rating is mainly down to their new policy restricting iPads and laptops. The entire vibe of the cafe has collapsed. It is almost completely empty. I am aware some may abuse sitting down somewhere for hours without consuming much. However, not only have they lost those customers, but also those who drop in to visit their friends/contacts (and likely purchase something in the process) and anyone who doesn’t know the cafe will look inside and see that is almost empty thereby likely telling themselves either the place must not be very good or something worse (food hygiene issues, etc.). It’s a very short sighted policy in the digital age. There is too much competition and people are obviously choosing elsewhere. After spending a fortune on their refurb in the Spring to accommodate what was a growing customer base more efficiently, they now seem to have scored a very...

I absolutely love this coffee shop. So far I've only tried the chia pudding, the avacado toast, a strawberry puff pastry dessert and their hot chocolate. Everything I've eaten or drank here is worth every penny.

What I love the most about this place is the cosy vibes and decor, similar to a Brandy Melville store.

Most cafes in London are a rush job. Whereas here, I can come and sit on the comfy arm chairs, lean on the pretty floral cushions and feel like I'm at a home away from home with a book in one hand and a hot drink in the other, a blanket thrown over myself if I fancy it and relax.

I'm assuming it's because they often get too busy and haven't got the capacity to let people sit for very long periods of time to study etc. It's a shame as I would've liked to have come to continue writing my book here on my laptop, but I guess you have to respect a cafes policy.

I highly recommend the tuna and burrata baguette; it’s incredibly delicious, and the flat white is perfectly made!

They changed the regulations to prevent loyal customers from sitting and using their laptops or even iPads. I tried to understand the employee's point of view, but she seemed happy to lose those customers—many of whom were willing and able to spend around £15 on coffee, sandwiches, and pastries per visit for one to two hours. Many times I have paid for the olive oil until now nearly 15 olive oil I have purchased, but no more, and I would say there's no respect for customers in my opinion. This would be the last time I’ll come here. If I had known this beforehand, I wouldn't have paid for my pastries and coffee today. If this behavior continues, I can see where the shop is headed—and it’s not far from shutting down. I knew a shop, who did the same, basically they don't have customers anymore, which led them to shut down. Try to reconsider your decision, this is from me as a loyal customers 🙏, sense "I think if I am not wrong" December 2023.
