Store Street has a lovely, cosy atmosphere and serves well-made drinks at reasonable prices — but what really makes it stand out is their incredible guest roaster programme. Every month, they feature a different UK roaster, giving customers the chance to try new beans and discover roasters they might not otherwise come across. It keeps things fresh and exciting, especially for anyone who likes to explore different origins and roasting styles.
Even better, each guest roaster hosts a free event at the café where they showcase their coffee and share valuable brewing knowledge. These events are a fantastic opportunity for coffee lovers to learn more about the beans, brewing techniques, and how to get the most out of their home setups.
Another thing I love about Store Street is their simple but thoughtful gesture: they give you a free coffee with every bag of beans you buy. It’s such a small thing, but it makes a big difference. Not only does it show appreciation for returning customers, but it also helps you understand how the beans can taste when brewed by professionals using top-end equipment — a useful reference point for home brewing. Every coffee shop should be doing this.
Combined with their constantly rotating bean selection and genuine commitment to customer experience, it’s a place I find myself wanting to revisit monthly just to see what’s new. Highly recommended for anyone passionate about...
Read moreUPDATE: Something's different in this place. I've been visiting frequently and I feel like I have to point some things out. I work in the area, so Store street espresso is my go to coffee spot. However, recently, the service often feels cold and most of the staff seem uninterested. Like, they just want you to finish your order in order to ask the person after you. I understand this job is tiring, but I'm pretty sure they're not forced to be there. The coffee has been hit or miss. I've had the whole temperature spectrum. From boiling hot to almost warm. Filter is almost always good. If the cake & sandwich selection wasn't so good, I would give a lower score. I haven't had a single bad bite of food in this store. I genuinely love most of the sandwiches. My favorite is the oyster mushroom sandwich, and I'm becoming a fan of the updated salmon bagel. Their cakes are always fresh and I love the fact that they freshen up their line-up often. The black sesame matcha loaf is to die for.
OLD REVIEW Solid coffee, friendly service but the real standout in this shop is the sweet offerings. Quite possible some of the best stuff I've had in London. I tried the new almond cookie today and I think I'm in love. The gluten free nutella thingy is also quite delicious. Keep doing what...
Read moreStore Street Espresso is one of many good cafes in this neighborhood. It may not be top of my list but as it has a nice layout and design, plenty of seating, free wifi (although there is a sign that there is no wifi between 11-16, was however on and working fine past two times i was there during that time) and good coffee so it is a definite option for a good cup of coffee. They mainly use Square Mile Coffee which is normally a good sign of quality. The place does have a hipster vibe but it does not really bother me as long as the coffee is good and the service is fast and friendly and Store Street ticks those boxes.
I have had very good hand brewed coffees here and the flat white has been good as well. They also serve some basic cafe food. The main drawbacks is that the place has been freezing cold when I have been here during winter time. It is however otherwise a good...
