I feel bad writing this review, because the staff was really friendly. But, the room we stayed in was terrible. It was very filthy. This hotel really, really needs a total refurbishment. Beyond that, some things that could be clean, weren’t. In some places there was dust buildup from what seems like years. The night table was stained and filthy. The shower had mould in it. The carpet was gross. The pictures speak for themselves. On top of that, the room was noisy to the point I woke up both nights I stayed there from other guests. I had to buy earplugs to manage getting sleep the second night (which failed because the earplugs fell out of my ear during the night). I’m glad I only stayed for two nights. The breakfast, which is included, was pathethic. Some yoghurts, cereal and slices of bread. That was about it. The toaster looked filthy so I didn’t even try the breakfast. The breakfast room was tiny. Also, there was just one power outlet in the entire room, at least from what I’ve found. In it’s current state, I really, really have to advise against this hotel. The location is good, the staff was friendly but the hotel itself is awful. Please, whoever runs this hotel, invest in a total refurbishment and get this hotel to a passable state because right now it is far from passable. If there isn’t any budget for a refurbishment, AT LEAST give it a total deep clean and clean the rooms properly. Whoever cleans these rooms does an awful lousy job at it !! On a more positive note, again, the staff was friendly and the bedding was clean.

Highly recommended this place if you are visiting central London. This hotel located 5 minutes walk away from Northern Line underground Goodge Street station, or 10 minutes walk from Piccadilly Line underground Russell Square station. You need to knock/pull the front door as no door bell available. Receptionist are friendly and well prepared with all my booking details in hand, so no delay for checking in. You need to leave your door key to reception when you're going out and pick it up from 24/7 reception. Photos attached showed the en-suite quadruple room with window for part of garden view. Small yet compact toilet cum shower room privately accessed from the room. There is also a communal bathroom for some non-ensuite rooms to share. Day light into the room is satisfied. No air-conditioning but small fan was working well. Kettle, hairdryer, small fridge, small tv, mugs and cups are provided. Full English breakfast are provided at the underground of hotel from 7.30am to 9.30am to kick start a good day. Garden in the hotel is accessible for specific time. There are cafes and restaurants nearby for food hunting, as well as some shops for shopping. There are also varieties of newspaper and magazine to read the communal room despite TV. Staffs are very kind to allow me having tap water directly from the kitchen instead of having water from toilet, otherwise I will be spending more to buy bottle water.

PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE!!! My wife and I came to visit London from California . We travel a lot, and we can’t say enough how pleased we were with this hotel! The staff was amazing, their concierge or manager Sami was very polite and very helpful. He made sure we were checked in and that our room was ready for us when we arrived even though we had a 24 hour delayed flight. We stayed in the deluxe King room, it was nice and newly furnished. It had a tea station and was very open and spacious. The bathroom was a bit small but very clean and comfortable. The breakfast at this location was LOVELY, variety of fresh fruits and yogurts, cereal, hot hard boiled eggs and toast as well! To our amazement, they had Gluten free toast (my wife is allergic to Gluten) and gluten free cereal so she was able to eat a nice breakfast to start our day! The location was very close to the British Museum, and the downtown shopping area and it also has a really great book cafe across the street. There were also amazing places to eat very nearby like the ugly dumpling and a Nando’s! Overall it was a 10/10 experience and it really made our stay very comfortable and memorable. I can’t say enough how pleased I am, and when we visit London again, we will definitely stick to this place!

It is with great pleasure that I can say how much my stay at the ARRAN House Hotel was above all my expectations .|The very attentive and conscientious welcome of Rakesh and Omar who assigned me a very comfortable room with its small private terrace was remarkable .|The ARRAN House Hotel is very well located, close to the British museum . As soon as you go down the steps of the hotel you can feel the romantic mark left by the very great writers : Charles Dickens , Virginia Woolf and so many other picturesque characters of the artistic and literary culture of Great Britain .|From the ARRAN House Hotel your steps will guide you in 5 minutes walk to the unmissable and universally known artery of Oxford street where walkers are generally delighted with their shopping . |Then return to the ARRAN House Hotel where you can enjoy a good cup of Yorkshire tea in the atmosphere of your very clean and tidy bedroom after the cleaning staff has passed through your room .|And when you leave this hotel , be sure that the two Managers , Rakesh and Omar , will organize your departure to Perfection , including printing courteously your airline company boarding pass , not to mention booking your taxi at an unbeatable price .|Thank you to Carolina too , the general Manager and to all the Team of the ARRAN House Hotel .|I shall come...
