I would never recommend anyone to visit this restaurant — the service is complete madness. We had a reservation and, admittedly, arrived 6 minutes late — just outside the grace period. The staff told us our table was still occupied by a customer who was nearly done, and asked us to wait outside. So we did. But when we saw that the customer had already finished their meal, we went back in — only to find they had given our table away to someone else. We weren’t desperate for a meal. If they had simply told us there was no space, we would’ve left. But instead, they told us to wait — then broke their word and gave the table to another party. What’s worse is they showed no sign of apology or responsibility. Because the booking was made online, there’s a £20 no-show charge. We asked the assistant to clarify, and were told only the manager could deal with it. But when we spoke to the manager, he claimed he had no authority either — and that he would need to email the platform. He wasn’t even sure what the outcome would be. Yet the platform clearly states: > “While we provide the technology for our partners, we cannot take any action on their behalf. If you have questions or need help with your reservation, we recommend contacting the business directly.” A restaurant is a service-driven business — the staff’s attitude reflects the values of the place. Based on this experience, I was left not only disappointed, but disrespected. I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through the same. And frankly, if they’re this careless and dismissive with their service and accountability, it raises serious doubts about whether their food and hygiene standards can be trusted either.

I recently visited Teo Hotpot in London, and honestly, it was such a cozy experience. The vibe inside is super clean and spacious, and it’s perfect for group dining – there's enough room to comfortably sit with friends or family and share the meal. The interior’s got this really nice Chaoshan style going on, which gives it a unique touch and makes it feel warm and inviting. Now, the beef? Wow. It’s super fresh, sliced really thin, and so tender. You can tell it’s high-quality because it’s got that perfect amount of marbling, which makes it melt in your mouth. If you're a beef lover, this is the place to be. I couldn’t get enough of it! The hotpot broth is something special too. They’ve got this slow-cooked beef bone broth that’s rich and full of flavor. It’s the kind of broth you just want to keep sipping. And the satay sauce? Must-try. It has this perfect kick to it that adds a whole new level of flavor to everything. I was dipping beef into that sauce, and it was *chef's kiss*. Oh, and let’s talk about the house specialty drinks. They’ve got some really interesting ones that pair nicely with the meal. Definitely worth trying out, just to add something extra to the experience. If you're into beef like I am, you’ll love Teo Hotpot. It’s a great spot to chat with friends about your favorite cuts of beef and try out new ones. I’m curious – what’s your go-to beef for hotpot? I highly recommend grabbing a shot of the beef being dipped into the broth in slow motion – it’s just so satisfying to watch. Overall, Teo Hotpot’s got that perfect combination of great food, cozy atmosphere, and authentic Chaoshan flavors. If you’re in the area, definitely check it out!

One of the best hot pot restaurants I’ve visited in london! Overall, the food was delicious and the broths we ordered (plain and spicy) were very flavoursome. A good range of starters and an impressive selection of different beef cuts to choose from. Towards the back of the restaurant, I was particularly excited for the neatly presented condiment station which had many different ingredients to let you customise your dipping sauce to perfection, which complimented the beef very well. I especially enjoyed the beef platter and loved how it was presented, as well as the cocktails which all were very unique. I ordered quite a few of them out of curiosity, most of them being tea based and they all tasted amazing (the olive one being my absolute favourite). The atmosphere of the restaurant was lively and we found the seating and overall experience at the restaurant very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful with suggesting food recommendations too! I’ll definitely be back for another visit and highly recommend this restaurant, especially for hotpot/ beef lovers!
