Stumbled across this lovely, traditional Victorian pub while killing time before meeting a friend. I just love old school, single room boozers like this, complete with carpet, old brass till, unpretentious people and a decent selection of cask ales. The latter included Sambrooks and Adnams at the time of my visit on a Sunday afternoon. There are TV screens for watching sport but they don’t dominate the atmosphere. Also outdoor seating for fair weather socialising. Definitely my new favourite pub in Fitzrovia.

The King and Queen ❤️ Backstreet pub in Fitzrovia just around the corner from the BT Tower. Love the architecture of this pub as it looks like German castle and there is traditional decor inside. The Landlady was great, serving multiple customers at once. Great old-school brass till behind the bar. 🚇 Great Portland Street 🍺 £4.90 San Miguel 🏏⚽️ Sky Sports 📊 Information correct on visiting 25/08/17

A lovely traditional Victorian London pub, sitting on the corner of Cleveland and Foley streets. Quiet when I visited but a very welcoming feeling about the place. Lovely staff and a great pint of beer. Pictures of a few king and Queeny types above the bar. Plenty of cask and keg on offer. A good place to pop for a pint.

Title: Unfair Treatment at King and Queen: Sober Yet Refused Entry

I recently had a highly disappointing experience at King and Queen. Upon arriving, I was shocked when the bouncer refused me entry, claiming I appeared intoxicated. As someone who is completely teetotal, this accusation was both baseless and offensive.

I approached the establishment looking forward to a great evening, only to be met with an unjust and humiliating response from the staff. Despite explaining my situation, the bouncer was unyielding and dismissive. This kind of treatment is unacceptable and shows a lack of professionalism and respect for patrons.

King and Queen needs to train their staff better to avoid such unfair and embarrassing situations in the future. As a result of this experience, I cannot recommend this place and will be looking elsewhere for a more respectful and welcoming...

Comfortable pub with a carpet making it very traditional. There's an interesting old cash register which is a great touch. Small section outside to stand with drinks and good number of tables inside for the size of the pub. The range of drinks is adequate but you won't find some of the more common lagers. They do not have a food menu but of course there's snacks such as crisps etc. Toilets aren't modern and don't feel the cleanest and they're very small. Prices are higher than some nearby alternatives but not excessive. Staff are efficient especially when it's busy but not overly friendly, but it is a nice place for a more quiet drink...

Great little English Pub. Retains its proper pub roots and serves up decent beer and a great traditional pub atmosphere. A dying breed is the English Pub and this place flies the flag with aplomb. My father in law has been drinking here since the days of the print and graphic industry that saw many workers in Fitzrovia. Bob Dylan played an intimate gig upstairs for those that fancy a bit of trivia. Quality venue and will continue drinking here for as long as the gentrification of London allows it to stay open. Support the old English boozer ! Five stars from me, keep up...
