I recently celebrated my friend’s birthday at Nua, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the perfect mood for a special evening.
The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring that every detail of our celebration was perfect. The owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to ensure that our needs were met throughout the night, including making the perfect recommendations for all the dishes we should try.
The food was nothing short of spectacular! Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. The standout dishes for us were the Tom Yum, the fried fish, and the sashimi prawn. The Tom Yum had the perfect balance of tangy and spicy, warming us up with its rich flavours. The fried fish was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and it paired wonderfully with the dipping sauce. The sashimi prawn was incredibly fresh and melted in our mouths, a true testament to the quality of the ingredients used.
To top it all off, the dessert (Mango Sticky Rice Ice Cream) was so good. It was the perfect ending to an already perfect meal. The restaurant even surprised us with a special birthday treat, making the evening even more memorable.
Nua exceeded all our expectations and made the birthday celebration incredibly special.
Being a fellow restaurant owner, I can tell how hard the owner and the chef team has worked on the food, service and deco. I highly recommend Nua to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. We will definitely be returning for more!
Thank you, Nua, for making the birthday celebration a night...
Read moreOur group of four had a fantastic experience at Nua, enjoying a night of excellent Thai food. We started with the Nua Platter, which included Duck Spring Rolls, Chicken Satay, Steamed Thai Dim Sum, and Chargrilled Pork Skewers. A major positive is that they provide one of each item per person, avoiding the awkwardness of splitting dishes, something many other places don't get right. The accompanying sauces (satay, chilli and a hoisin-like sauce) were also spot on, adding extra depth to the starters.
For mains, we ordered a variety including the Pad Kra-Pao and Massaman Curry. Every dish was full of flavour: the pork was rich and juicy, the chicken was perfectly tender, and the boned-meat easily pulling away from the bone. The Sticky Rice and Jasmine Rice we had alongside complemented the mains beautifully.
Service throughout the meal was polite and courteous, though we did find it difficult to get attention when asking for the bill, waiting around 10 minutes.
Pricing is slightly on the higher end, but given the central London location and quality of the food, it felt reasonable enough.
Overall, Nua delivers delicious Thai food in a relaxed setting. A great choice for a treat or a...
Read moreI recently dined at Nua tonight, and it was an unforgettable experience. The menu boasts a delightful selection of special new style of Thai dishes. We started with the Tom Yum soup, perfectly balanced with spicy, sour, and savory flavors. The beef and satay skewers were excellent appetizers, the latter featuring tender chicken marinated in special sauce.
For our main courses, the Pad Thai was a standout, with its mix of tender rice noodles, crunchy peanuts, and tangy tamarind sauce. The Curry with Angus short ribs was equally impressive, featuring a creamy coconut milk base, tender chicken, and a medley of vibrant vegetables, all with just the right amount of heat. We finished with the Mango Sticky Rice and deep fried banana, the deliciously sweet ending to our meal.
The service was attentive and knowledgeable, and the modern yet cozy décor added to the welcoming ambiance. Overall, Nua is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic Thai cuisine. I look forward to returning to try more of their...
