Hanasaki is a true gem in London's culinary scene that has quickly become my new favourite after the closure of my go-to restaurant of 20 years. From the moment we stepped in, we were warmly greeted by the owner and head chef, who took the time to chat with us and make us feel right at home. The modern and elegant ambiance sets the stage for a truly special meal, showcasing the chef's passion for creating authentic Japanese dishes. The attentive and knowledgeable staff expertly guided us through the menu, offering recommendations that were delicious! Each dish was a work of art – the sashimi, was a standout, boasting incredible freshness and impeccable presentation. It was a delight to watch the chef and his team craft each dish with precision and care right before our eyes, elevating the entire dining experience. Hanasaki has left a lasting impression on us, and we plan to return next week, as a regular after work treat, when in town, to explore more of the menu. We highly recommend this exceptional restaurant for an unforgettable Japanese dining experience that will leave you...

I don’t understand how reviews can be so high for this place. They are few - they might be fake. We came here because of the reviews but the experience was terrible and we left mid dinner. First of all, we had to wait for the table. That was not long but there’s no place to wait so we were between the kitchen and the tables. It was awkward. Fine not a big deal ok but a decent queue formed from inside the restaurant to outside with people who did not get as lucky as us with the short wait. That was in winter when waiting outside must’ve been a torture. Funny because the restaurant puts a lot of stress on the fact that if you are late for your booking your table will be given away. Now the food. This is no fine dining. The quality and preparation were substandard. We are very picky and go to fine dining restaurants often so maybe we have more refined taste than most. But we ended up leaving the makis there halfway through. It hasn’t happened often that we do that. The chef looked like he was overworked - one single guy for a room of quite...

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at this Japanese restaurant, and I’m genuinely impressed by both the food and the service! Every dish was perfectly prepared, bursting with authentic flavors that transported us straight to Japan. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the presentation was a true work of art.

What truly stood out, however, was their exceptional care for families with children. Not only did they provide a comfortable high chair, but they also offered special plates and utensils tailored for little ones, making the experience so much easier for us. The most delightful surprise came at the end of our meal when the staff went above and beyond by washing and sterilizing our baby's bib and water bottle. It’s such a thoughtful gesture that shows how much they care about every guest, no matter their age.

If you're looking for a place that combines outstanding cuisine with unmatched attention to detail and family-friendly hospitality, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. We can’t...

We went for the Omakase Experience and enjoyed every moment of it. Each piece of sushi was a different experience and all were absolutely delicious. The fish was served generously and was of top quality. A sudden onslaught of online orders and subsequent gig-economy workers running in and out somewhat disturbed the otherwise intimate experience. The Chinese couple who runs the restaurant were quick to send them back to wait outside, which was good, yet I definitely prefer places that do not offer food to-go, as this is never a good experience for the guests. Yet who am I to argue with the reality of gastro-economics in the heart of London? Don’t expect a Michelin star experience here. The place is honest, reduced to what matters and run with care and love. It is worth every penny if you come for the food and the heartfelt service. We will definitely come back.

Nice sushi done by Hungarian chef named Zoltán. I went for the alacart, ordered some scallops, and engawa with homemade ginger . Had some Azure sake . The chef was very knowledgeable about sushi and cooking .
