Absolutely disgusting venue, 5 of us, we done track and trace on our phones as entered venue, we had no problem signing track and trace book either, we was told after I informed them of the law of refusing us a service was illegal, we was told yes you can sit outside in the rain at 8.50 pm . We have just left a lovely little greek restaurant and thought we would have a couple of drinks and provide the inn keeper with some much need financial revenue in this dark time, your looking at minimum £40 in the till. Eventually after much disagreement the fascist land lady decided she would let us sit inside, oh praise be the Lord oh righteous one... We decided that she didn't deserve our hard earn cash and went back to our lovely comfortable hotel for a night cap.. boycott this establishment, as a group we are all exempt from mask wearing, we suffered harassment as to our exempt issue, which was demanded, yet again illegal. I hope you don't suffer the same humiliation and derogatory attack that we received from this ill informed uneducated land lady and staff , one girl young so total understand her anxiety in the situation and the other girl( thing, not sure what it was) in green who was like an excited monkey in a zoo at feeding time. No manners...
Read moreIt's a real shame because the pub itself is quite nice, first time visiting and we were planning on coming back. Until the middle aged woman behind the bar came over and had a VERY passive aggressive go at me and my girlfriend because we had supposedly not bought any drinks, and we were the reason why they were gonna go out of business. There were 5 of us, my girlfriend was the only one who didnt buy a drink and my friends were also playing many games of pool. In total our group had probably spent in excess of £80 in a couple of hours. I would maybe understand her if the pub was full, but there were empty tables throughout the area. The funny thing is, if the lady had any sort of social decency, my girlfriend would have gone a bought something. But the lady's completely unnecessary tone and behaviour put us off from ever purchasing anything there ever again.
I cannot recommend this pub from this womans behaviour alone. She should consider a career change out of...
Read moreWent a few months ago. Had been out shopping and stopped for a drink and some food. We brought in an empty reusable coffee cup and the barmaid took it upon herself to steal if from our table and throw it in the bin, arguing that it could have had alcohol in it. It was clearly empty, it cost around £30 and it had considerable sentimental value. I would have understood if she simply asked to check the contents and have us put it away but to steal and dispose of someone's private property right under their nose was beyond unnecessary. She was rude and argumentative when I asked her to retrieve it from the bin. If you ever go, keep an eye on your things because they might end...
