It is with great delight and a heart brimming with culinary contentment that I bestow upon this establishment the highest accolade, a resplendent five stars, to herald the exceptional repast that graced my discerning palate.
Upon entering the hallowed halls of Thunderbird, I was ensconced in an ambiance of culinary anticipation, where the aromatic promises of fried delights danced upon the air, tantalizing my senses in a waltz of flavors yet to be explored. My journey through the gustatory wonders commenced under the guidance of none other than the consummate server par excellence, a gentleman by the name of Rubel. In his capable hands, my culinary odyssey unfolded with seamless precision and a graciousness reminiscent of a bygone era of fine dining.
The pièce de résistance, of course, was the Thunderbird Fried Chicken itself – a symphony of succulence, a crispy and golden masterpiece, a veritable serenade to the discerning aficionado of poultry. Each morsel, tender and juicy, bore witness to the culinary prowess of Thunderbird's kitchen brigade. The seasoning, an exquisite blend of spices harkening back to time-honored recipes, infused every bite with an explosion of flavors that spoke of tradition and expertise.
Complementing the main attraction were a cavalcade of delectable sides, each vying for my attention with their unique charm. From the creamy dips that sang of freshness to the sumptuous fries that whispered tales of indulgence, each accompaniment was a splendid ode to culinary finesse.
Yet, it was not merely the gustatory delights that elevated my dining experience to celestial heights, but the attentive ministrations of Rubel himself. His knowledge of the menu, his impeccable timing, and his impeccable manners evoked the elegance of a bygone era, transporting me to a time when service was an art form, and the diner, a cherished guest.
In conclusion, Thunderbird Fried Chicken at Canary Wharf stands as an unequivocal paragon of excellence in the realm of fried poultry. With Rubel as my guide and Thunderbird's culinary virtuosity as the maestro, I was afforded an epicurean reverie that transcended the ordinary and transported me to a realm of gastronomic bliss. Five stars, without question, are bestowed upon this establishment with the highest...

In short: I called three branches with no answer until I persistently called this one four times. When I finally got through, the employees lacked common sense and couldn’t solve a simple issue by adding an extra sauce, even when I provided a solution and logistics at no cost to them.
Full story: Earlier today, I ordered a meal via Deliveroo, including churros, but wasn’t given the option to select a dip for churros. Normally, dips are included when ordered separately. Upon receiving my order, no dip was provided. No big deal—the food was good.
Three hours later, I placed another order for my brother and called ahead to ask for an extra dip so I could have my churros.. After struggling to reach any of the nearest three branches, a polite-sounding employee finally answered. She acknowledged the app might be at fault and said they’d address it in the future and continued with a minute of silence which I found unhelpful and therefore suggested a simple solution: include an extra dip with my current second order. She refused, saying it wasn’t on the receipt. I explained that you cannot add a dip separately, and she could clearly see my previous order was missing one. Despite agreeing to my point, she refused again. I attempted to point out how ridiculous this is is as their churros can only be order with a sauce which is included in the price and asked who would order it without a sauce to which she had no reply.
After repeated back-and-forths, I realized I was wasting time and contacted Deliveroo. They couldn’t cancel the order but refunded my churros without asking after I provided a photo.
When my second order for my brother arrived, no extra dip was included for my initial order and unfortunately, the dip provided for his was barely half a tiny tub for six churros (photos attached). If this is the standard, it’s unacceptable. The food itself was good, but the sheer non existence of common sense and customer service ruined the experience.
On that note, I’m off to make my own chocolate sauce rather than let this nonsense ruin...
Read moreJust going to start this by saying, actually the best wings I've ever tasted in my life.
Not very hot but maybe I didn't order a hot option. However from what I saw and heard I did.
The honey bbq chilli, I believe.
By far the greatest tasting wings, from what I experienced I just wanted to stay all day and their eat wings. But I was busy.
I ordered 5, the price was okay for London. I just found myself wishing I had more.
I went to the team and the spoke to me, I was super excited and they matched me.
The staff team Shannay and Francis was super supportive and lovely to chat to Francis could see I was very much enjoying my stay and offered me 3 wings with a different taste, no doubt to get me hooked on the wings. while I waited for the rest I ordered.
It did take a while to get my second order, however it wasn't a busy time and they weren't expecting me to order the whole shop of wings. Which I could have.
(Do a challenge of how many wings you can eat, invite me down and I'd win.)
The location is hard to find just because of the mall being underground, being tucked away in the back corner underground is out of their control.
The shop is small but they use what they have.
They are near lots of other food choices, which can be distracting. I'd recommend this over all others around them.
I should be coming to another store soon to try more favours. Only because I heard there are closer branches to me around London.
Now I am not training for any marathons and resting, you will be seeing me...
