From the outside it looks like a trendy, but quaint Coffee shop, where you can boot up your laptop and work in relative peace, in nice surroundings, However, my first experience of this place took a nose dive after I walked in.
The service wasn't particularly quick, in that it took 2 members of staff almost 10 mins to serve 3 people White Americanos.
I ordered a Cappuccini(£3) which tasted awful, as if he milk had gone off, even though I saw them open a new bottle of milk to make it. Also ordered a Vanilla and Chocolate Muffin(£3), which tasted as if it had been out in the open for a day or two and it was not much larger than a fairy cake.
Sat at the cleanest table and found it to have a sticky substance to it, as if it hadnt been cleaned, however, this was the best one.
Once the customers had been served, there wasn't an employee in sight.
All in all, not a good first experience and I do not think it was good value for...

3 stars because my drink came in a tiny cup (don’t be fooled by the pic) which cost £4 and the average price for all coffees. The menu was small as well. Also, the almond croissant looked delicious but tasted a day or 2 old.
However, I would like to return in the summer for the bar and evening atmosphere and food.
They also give discount for NHS workers here too so it’s plus. Nit sure if this extends to evening service but I guess I will find out...
Read moreCool, trendy, but...slow! I stopped here for a coffee on the way to the office as it looked to be the best craft-coffee candidate on Maps. I ordered an oat milk flat white and it was well made. They had soya and coconut milks available as well from what I remember.
There were a few people ahead of us in the queue but it wasn't peak rush hour. I don't mind waiting for a quality product but there seemed to be a real lack of urgency behind the bar. It took longer than I had budgeted for!
I'd like to give this place another shot after work as they had a great selection of craft beer, including some vegan ones I recognised, such as Beavertown. Hopefully not a perennial case of style...
