Overall Impression: Turmeric Kitchen Restaurant offers a delightful and authentic Indian dining experience, with flavorful food, warm service, and a cozy ambiance that makes it a perfect spot for a tasty meal in London. Food: The food is exceptionally well-prepared, with dishes bursting with authentic Indian flavors. The chicken and mutton dishes are particularly noteworthy, and the Dal Makhni dish with Garlic butter naan is a must-try. The chefs clearly take pride in their cooking, offering variations to suit individual tastes. Chef KISHOR has really good talent and taste in cooking. He is a really Master Chef 10/10. Service: The staff is attentive and friendly, providing excellent service throughout the meal. They are knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer recommendations.

Ambiance: The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere ,but personally as per my opinion missing the Indian Music in the background to create more atmosphere like India. Specific Dishes: Railway Mutton curry Chicken Dishes: Tandoori Chicken The Chicken and Mutton dishes are cooked to perfection, with tender meat and flavorful sauces. Dal Makhni with Garlic Butter Naan: A classic Indian dish, the Dal makhni is creamy and flavorful, perfectly complemented by the soft and buttery naan. Other Recommendations: The samosas and pakoras are also excellent appetizers, and the chutneys are fresh and flavorful. Overall Recommendation: Turmeric kitchen Restaurant is a highly recommended spot for anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Indian meal in London. The food is excellent, the service is warm, and the ambiance is inviting, making it a truly memorable dining...

My husband is a London native and we lived in Richmond upon Thames for 13 years. We love Indian food and were spoiled for choice during our time here. Since moving to the States in 2011, we have bemoaned the fact that the Indian food there just doesn't live up to London's high standards.

We found Turmeric Kitchen near our hotel in Paddington on a recent trip to London. Our server, Jay, a young man working as a server, who is also a student in Interior Design, made several suggestions and recommendations on what we should order. We are so glad we took his advice!

The food is phenomenal! We had Poppadums with the lovely chutneys that accompany them and were wowed by the mint sauce. This was followed by Kale Chaat with crispy Kale in that same mint sauce, Palak Paneer (Sag Paneer is one of our favorites and this was similar), Veg Biryani and Chicken Murgh Makhani. All were flavorful and delicious. For dessert we had the Chocolate Samosa which was also very good.

The manager and Jay went out of their way to make sure we were happy with our meal selections. We felt very well looked after and enjoyed interacting with both of them. Our whole experience at Tumeric Kitchen was excellent. Friendly service, fresh, delicious food awash in intense spices and cooked to perfection, and a lively atmosphere provided an extremely satisfying dining experience. Thank you so much for making us...

Last night, my auntie and I had the pleasure of dining at one of the finest Indian restaurants I’ve ever encountered and I must say, it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were greeted warmly by Mohit, the manager, whose professionalism and passion for his establishment shone through.

The service was impeccable. Mohit and his team were attentive to every detail, making sure we were comfortable and well-cared for throughout our visit. The staff worked seamlessly together, creating a flawless dining experience.

The food? Simply sublime. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavours, perfectly balanced spices, and prepared with the utmost care. From the appetizers to the mains and desserts, it was clear that the kitchen is helmed by true culinary artists who take pride in their craft. Each bite transported us to the heart of India.

The setting and ambience further elevated the experience. The decor was elegant, the lighting warm and inviting, and the atmosphere vibrant yet cosy, ideal for a memorable evening out.

I am already planning my next visit and can’t wait to introduce more friends and family to this remarkable gem. Kudos to Mohit and his team for delivering an unforgettable dining experience. This restaurant is a must visit for anyone who loves authentic Indian cuisine paired with stellar service...

If you're craving authentic Indian flavors, look no further than Turmeric Kitchen. This restaurant is a true gem, offering a variety of dishes that capture the essence of Indian cuisine with a modern twist. Two standout items that I had the pleasure of trying were the Makhana Chaat and the Railway Mutton, and both left a lasting impression. The Makhana Chaat (as seen in the first image) was a vibrant, refreshing plate topped with crunchy sev, fresh herbs, and juicy pomegranate seeds. The balance of tangy, spicy, and sweet flavors was spot-on, giving a perfect kick with each bite. The crispy texture of the makhana (fox nuts) combined with the rich chutneys made it a delightful appetizer that you won't want to miss. The Railway Mutton (delivered in traditional brass tiffins in the second image) was simply outstanding. Tender, slow-cooked mutton in a flavorful gravy transported me to the bustling kitchens of India’s railways. The presentation in these brass tiffin boxes added an authentic touch, and the richness of the spices, combined with the melt-in-your-mouth meat, made it a memorable dish. Overall, the ambiance at Turmeric Kitchen, coupled with their attentive service and genuine Indian tastes, makes it a must-visit. Whether you’re a fan of street-style chaats or hearty traditional curries, this restaurant delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended!

Lunch at Turmeric Kitchen on a quiet Tuesday afternoon was a quiet affair. Located within the Chilworth Hotel, part of the Montcalm group, the restaurant is accessed via the hotel’s main entrance on the ground floor, right by the concierge desk. The ambiance is modern yet warm, with an open-plan kitchen and banquette-style seating offering views of Westbourne Terrace. The wood panelling, understated lighting, and stone-colored curtains create a sleek but unremarkable atmosphere. The menu offers a mix of Indian and international dishes. Unfortunately, the Negroni I ordered was overly sweet, lacking the balance you’d expect. For the main, I opted for the Lamb Handi Biryani. While the portion size was fair, the dish itself was underwhelming. The lamb wasn’t as tender as it should have been, and the rice leaned on the dry side, making it an average dish overall. By the time I’d finished the lamb, half of the rice was still left untouched. On a positive note, service was efficient and friendly, 12.5% was added to the bill, and the food arrived promptly. However, with only decent food and an average cocktail, this would’t be my first choice for a return visit.

I recently visited Turmeric Kitchen at the Chilworth Hotel in Paddington, and it’s truly a hidden gem. From the moment I arrived, the restaurant felt warm and inviting, a cozy spot that delivers authentic Indian flavors in a relaxed, modern setting. The food was outstanding. The railway mutton curry was served in a tiffin-style box with a rice section, and it instantly took me back to small-town India from 30 years ago. The flavors were rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced — exactly what I’d hoped for in a traditional railway-style curry. The dhaba dal makhni was another highlight, creamy, hearty, and deeply flavorful. The black dal reminded me of the quality you find at Bukhara in Delhi, while the twist with onions and chillis added just the right kick. Everything tasted fresh and carefully prepared. The attention to detail in both presentation and taste makes dining here feel special. Service was friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience without being intrusive. Overall, Turmeric Kitchen is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Indian flavors with a touch of nostalgia. I’ll definitely be returning for another meal.
