Upper Crust Paddington — Restaurant in London

Today I was buying myself a baguette and asked for it toasted. As I was waiting to receive my change and sandwich, the lady who served me began shouting 'ohh she's been a bad girl' to which I thought she was talking to me. She then began shouting and screaming and walked off behind the scene. Other staff members were laughing and watching the commotion which was happening behind the scenes. My baguette was beeping in the toaster and the staff were ignoring this and continued to watch what was happening. As this is going on potential customers are walking away, people waiting for their trains can hear all of this shouting, to which I am still waiting for my change and my baguette. I had to try and get a staff members attention who didn't know what was happening. I asked for my change and baguette and he didn't know what I was asking for, I had to repeat several times so he could hear me over all this shouting. I have never had an experience like this and too top it all off my change was wrong and my toasty was cold and dry. Will not be returning on...

I had a very disappointing experience at this shop. The coffee I was served didn’t even taste like coffee, and to make it worse, it was given to me cold. I also ordered a muffin, but just before packing it, the lady at the till touched her hair with her hand and, without washing or sanitizing, handled the muffin with the same hand. This felt very unhygienic and unacceptable for a food business.

When I politely asked her name to leave feedback, she very rudely told me her name was Alekya. On top of that, she didn’t even return my change, which makes it feel like customers’ money might be mishandled.
