Liars and manipulators.
You CAN get ANY fresh food at 50% OFF in the last HALF HOUR.
Worst experience at a Asian fast food/restaurant. Usually the Asian food places I go people are well mannered and upfront and I like this customer service culture, but this wasabi just deterred me from ever stepping foot here again, and not only me but other friends that often used to go there had bad customer service experience. And when I mean bad, it's bad.
They'll try to play with words and "I'm not sure" but just get what you want and at the counter tell you can it at half price and it's in their policy.
That short Manager deceived and lied me and in the end I had to pay it full price when I clearly asked about the 30 min policy.
And had the audacity of laugh about me with his untrained employees WHILE I was paying full price in front of them.
The disrespect.
Man I know how retail works so alright I can just come back after confirming the offer at another branch but what bothers me is why insulting me like this? It was demeaning and unnecessary.
And no I wasn't a Karen, I simply asked about their 50% off before 30 min closing time and didn't insist when I saw the manager being all unsure idk etc, and after that acting he tells me he can only do it on the most expensive item there, a clear way to desist me. And no I wasn't a Karen even after, I just paid for what I wanted, ignored their...
Read moreBad experience.I’ve been to many Wasabi locations before, and today, when I passed by this one, I picked up a box of sushi in the store and told the front desk for takeaway. I was wearing headphones, so I didn’t say anything else afterward. After paying and leaving, I noticed the price charged didn’t match the takeaway price. At first, I thought the items might have been misplaced, so I contacted the manager. The front desk claimed I said 'eat-in,' and the manager also insisted I said 'eat-in.' Her attitude was extremely poor, and because English is not my first language, they kept saying, 'I don’t understand what you’re saying.' I’ve been in the UK for a long time, and this is the first time someone has spoken to me like this. Also, why should the customer pay for this mishearing mistake from servers? It made me very angry, and in the end, I just took the sushi and left. For people want to come, please double-check the price when paying—if something seems off, don’t proceed with the payment. Is this some new way to make...
Read moreI'm usually a fan of Wasabi, and can count on them to provide me with some decent hot Japanese food or sushi. I appreciate their generous portions, but this time round, I didn't have a good experience with their Sweet Chili Chicken with rice. Hailing from Southeast Asia, I can usually tolerate spicy foods, but somehow the spice level in the Sweet Chili Chicken this time was deathly and unbearable, and I couldn't enjoy the meal after a couple of spoonfuls. There was lots of sauce in mine, and almost every grain of rice was soaked in it. I couldn't taste anything after a while because of the spiciness. Additionally, the chicken was coated nicely but very dry and rough inside – not too nice to chew on or swallow.
I felt bloated and sick and couldn't move for a very long time after finishing the meal, my insides feeling like they were on fire. I'm definitely staying away from any of Wasabi's spicy choices...
