Wenzel's the Bakers — Restaurant in London

I hate to have to low star this store. However a newish female staff member who is extremely rude now works here. I think she’s a new senior-ish member and it appears the status of being in charge of a few other staff members has gone to her head. I’ve been using this store for many years though and seen dozens of staff come and go. The sooner this one’s gone the better!

Update. I’ve just left the store and have to surmise two of these store staff are prejudiced. After having spent many years using this store I refuse to be pushed out by this new crew that have taken over. My grown daughter who is white skinned has no issues with the service in the store and whenever I go in with the same request/approach there is a definite hostility. Today I witnessed the same hostility, not only to myself but also to another store user of colour. I was able to record this on my phone and will be taking the whole issue up with the manager.

There is no need for these staff members to abuse the customers because they work long hours in low paid jobs. I don’t expect that to be voiced to me when all I’m doing is purchasing food. The staff member today was screaming she’s worked a 12 hour shift. Is that my fault! And do wenzels really have workers doing shifts like that?

EXTREMELY BAD SERVICE. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Went to Kilburn High Rd Wenzels on Saturday at 5mins to 5. Went with my 4 children. We knew what we came for so there was no messing about. It was just 2 white choc cookies and a pack of cornflake cakes. The supervisor named Hardik was extremely rude. As we approached the till, he said 'I want to close the shop'....I said 'OK, we know what we want to order, can we order please? we are right here'. I also had the cornflake cake pack in my hand. So we ordered the cookies. I paid, he gave us our order but 1 cookie was missing. I let him know know he missed one out. He replied 'I just want to go' whilst getting the other cookie and flinging it down on the counter. I said 'I know but you should still maintain customer service. He said 'I don't care I want to go'. There were other customers in the shop that said 'You shouldn't be saying that'. He said 'I don't care..I really don't care'. I told him I will report his behaviour to the manager. Again he said 'I don't care do it, I don't care'. The while experience was not nice. Very lovely staff , always smiling and cheerful . Really happy how they all know my order the minute i get through the door. I'm always in a rush so i don't get a parking ticket and my food is made up so quick and tasty. so thank you and well done guys for making my morning's special and introducing me to your new berry croisnuts !yummy you naughty , naughty girls 😄 my favourite store around...
