Sadly not an enjoyable meal. We arrived to the establishment with high hopes. Firstly when we arrived we were clumbsily greeted then sat down amidst the waiters serving customers. Which was rude to the customers being served & to us arriving. We sat for 10 minutes before we had to ASK for menus. This should be a given. After deciding what we wanted it took us 10 minutes to gain the attention of a waiter, the waiter told us someone else would come along to take the order. Another 10 minutes passed & we had to intervene, this was enough red flags for us to have left. None the less we decided to stay unfortunately. The waiter came & took our order. It took a further 20 minutes for the food to arrive & when it did it ALL came together despite ordering starters & mains. We mentioned this to the waiter who was yo-yoing back & forth with taking our mains back “under the heater” -NO. I do not wish for our food to be sat & then reheated & be sat on the side for 20minutes. This is a health & hygiene issue. The food was bland sadly. The biryani rice was over cooked & MUSHY. Very disappointing. The noodles nothing special, missing a wow factor. The food has ALOT of red food colouring & lack of seasoning which was a shame given that we decided to stay despite the red flags. The “lamb chops” were clearly not that. The size & toughness of the meat indicated mutton chops. The chicken wings were the only “OK” item. The rice for the biryani clearly mushy. Overall appalling. Despite there being enough staff to take on the floor, there was no order of service, no plan or experience in managing. Uber eats drivers were walking through the restaurant to collect food which was disruptive. The establishment is also not taken care of. There were splatters of food/drink on their mirrors. Their tables felt sticky. Wallpaper pealing etc. overall very disappointing & CERTAINLY will not be returning. The lack of care was beyond belief. A clumsy restaurant over all.

Visited when it first opened - New restaurant. Looks very high class. The brand name is well known in Mumbai. Food not as high class. Sheekh kebab was dry. Felt like it was cooked from frozen. Chicken tikka was OK but dry. Wings were dry too. Veg jalfrezi had too much salt. Didn't enjoy the food I'm afraid and therfore won't be returning. Visited again on 03/01/22 - good customer service. Food quality still the same. The lamb kebabs were awful. It was hard and dry. The butter naan was so crispy. It supposed to be nice and fluffy. Chicken tikka was OK. The crispy cauliflower was delicious. That masala chips was so good. Loved the flavour of chicken jalfrezi but some of the chicken pieces were hard and therefore could not bite properly. Coca-Cola was given in a glass with half filled with ice and therefore became tasteless. Why not give a can or bottle and let customer pour the drink? The drink was poured from the bar. So I don't know what I paid for because I didn't see the can or the bottle. Very expensive and not worth the price. All those bloggers hyping this restaurant are either getting free food from this restaurant or getting paid to leave positive reviews. Overall I will definitely won't be returning to this restaurant again. The hype on all those websites and social media is fake. I really thought maybe I'm going mad and perhaps I visited when it opened new and therefore give them another chance after reading stuff on social media. The ratings from my original visit remains the same. This is just a hype.

Was so excited to eat here but must say was a disappointment to say the least. Ordered 5 drinks the easiest drink took nearly over an hour to come which was the coke, this was after asking 5 times the drink was bought over no apology given. Also asked for tap water which a bottle was given with no glasses, are we all meant to jus drink from a big bottle. Asked for the starters to come first but was mixed up and was bought with some of the mains. Ordered chips and asked for mayo, mayo came after the chips was finished, ordered chicken green thai curry no chicken was in the food after I mentioned to waiter he bought it back I kid you not with may be three small pieces of chicken. Food was not great over all after the wait only thing that was decent was the biryani other then that was very basic. To top of the evening My niece wanted dessert asked for menu, waiter never bothered to come and take order so we asked for the bill. Management need to train the staff on customer service. place is very pretty but if your not going to serve your customers correctly no point in having a fancy places.

Standard of food dropped ALOT in recent times. Service has always been bad but more noticeable this visit, it's like the staff members are actively trying to NOT communicate with each other about your tables order. Items arriving at awkward times during meal. We sort of got scammed on the whole service charge / tip situation too. I've come here many times in the past for a quick fix and they hadn't ever billed me for a service charge (I have images of the previous visit receipts too) but this visit with some friends, the waitress comes to the table with the bill and actively makes it known that she personally removed the service charge off our bill and asked if we could tip separately in cash. She stood at the table, towering over us as we had to communicate amongst ourselves what the appropriate tip would be (members of the group I was with did not want to tip at all due to the poor service and overall experience) but I ended up having a tenner in my pocket and put it on the table. Obviously her mood shifted quite a bit when she saw only a tenner. One friend could've sworn she had made a disgusted face but she did act cold and uninterested in us after she saw the so called "tip". I wonder if the manager or owner knows if staff are pulling this off on customers? There is no mention of service charge on the menu booklets like restaurants are legally required to do. Bill came to just over 100GBP. Food was below mediocre, in previous visits it's just mediocre. The staff themselves look to be Indian, they understand and speak Hindi amongst themselves. This place used to be cheaper, hopefully they don't plan to increase their prices because that might have been the only thing they had going for them. I've been known to come back despite the average food so who knows, maybe I will visit again if I'm down bad desperate enough for some Indian food. I'll write another review when I do.

My message to staff: this isn't America, if your employer is underpaying you below the minimum wage threshold, take him/her to court and get what's yours. Don't pull stunts or lies on customers about taking away service charge, when it didn't exist in the first place, just to get a cash tip for lackluster poor...

We went after 1.30pm to Hitchki. From their opening, the interior has changed and looks very luxurious. Very beautifully done. It was not that busy, all together including myself & my sister, there were 8 of us. We were greeted warmly by the male waiter. The menu has changed a lot since I last went to the restaurant. I am sure they had more vegetarian dishes... nonetheless for starters, we ordered their street food items: masala chips, samosa chaat & paani puri. For mains we ordered 2 Garlic naans, a veg ladurab (apologies for spelling it wrong), paneer tikka & for drinks, a strawberry mojito & a Fanta. We asked the lady who took our order, (this had to be repeated twice) that we wanted starters & main separate so why was the paneer tikka given as starters? When questioned, the lady spoke in her language to the friendly waiter rudely (now do not assume we can't understand Hindu- very rude) that we messed up our order! DO NOT get the pani puri- it was cold, so hard and it tasted stale. The mint sauce has no flavour, just full of spice. So disappointed. We were given masala chai (which we did not order) we ordered masala chips! This was given with our mains. Another disappointing dish with just some sauce on it, seemed like it was microwaved & tasted soggy! The Paneer tikka had become cold by the time the mains came, so I asked another worker to warm it up, he touched the paneer with his hands to see if its cold! I mean why??? The service was so bad, mojito came late, the naan was the best item. Full of flavour. Hitchki, if you aren't bothered to serve well in the afternoon then I suggest you don't open till after 5pm! Your staff were inconsistent & when questioned, they were annoyed and please stop speaking in your language- extremely rude! Also, we paid 51.90 for cold, stale and just a not good service. Hitchki change your workers, I think they need training on customer service but it is outrageous to be served cold food and for your workers to touch it with their hands especially during covid times! We will certainly not be coming back again! Nice place to sit in but the food was disappointing and change...
