Do. Not. Go. To. This. Restaurant. My parents booked myself and my partner a meal here on groupon for my birthday and they honestly could not be more hostile towards us. I went in smiling, we had trouble getting up the QR code but blatantly had the email confirmation booking and they just said “It’s not our problem. No QR code or get out our restaurant right now.” What is the point in advertising your restaurant on groupon if you’re going to treat the people who use it like dirt on the bottom on your shoe? I’m very capable of affording the dishes at full price but it was a present and therefore we were redeeming the voucher, and had called a few times in advance explaining that it was a birthday meal and so expect a certain level of human courtesy but wow…..they took every opportunity to be as rude and as horrible as possible every step of the way. In addition, when we called to ask if we could change our booking to 20 minutes later they said very rudely that they were fully booked, although when we arrived there was absolutely nobody in the restaurant eating. The place was completely empty… what is the need to lie like that? The disrespect is beyond belief. I’ve never felt so degraded in my life by people who are paid to offer ‘customer service’. I’m Japanese and can confirm that none of the staff are Japanese and the food looked basic at best. They treated us as if we were asking to eat for free….Ruined my 25th birthday. The worst vibe from a restaurant imaginable. I wouldn’t go near this place with a barge pole. Avoid it like the plague. £55 down the drain - non-refundable - for no food, awful service, and overall a completely unacceptable experience. DO...

Extremely horrible experience........

I booked a table a week before for my anniversary and also called them to confirm the booking. When we turned up, we were denied entry. After a lot of back and forth, which included one of the staff members accusing me of lying about the booking, I showed them evidence on my phone that I had called a week before to confirm. The other staff member acknowledged that they have made a mistake.

Essentially what they do is if you have a booking (lets say for 2 people) and then they receive a group booking (or a booking larger than yours really), they will cancel your booking without any prior warning and give the slot to the bigger group. They lack the dignity or integrity to warn you that your booking has been cancelled so that you can book elsewhere. Then when you turn up for your booking, they will tell you that you don't have a booking despite having an email confirmation. Imagine getting denied entry on the door for our anniversary, this was really embarrassing and almost ruined our day.

My advice is do not go to this place for special occasions otherwise you will be very disappointed. Booking a table at this place is as good as a gentleman's agreement to these guys, they do not always honour it. And instead of admitting that they are wrong, they will start making it seem like you are causing a nuisance and force you out of the restaurant. If I could give them a negative...

Very bad experience! ! I called and booked a seat first, but I didn’t know I needed to mention that I was a coupon customer. (I guess they would lie and say that they are full if they knew I'm a coupon user.) After we got to the store, we talked to the boss about the coupons. His face changed a lot and accused us of not mentioning it when we booked. He was angry and unwilling to let us in. The other waitress looked at him for a while before reluctantly letting us in, and he kept muttering after that. Later, he asked us to show the QR code, and said that many people had problems with their QR codes, and ours might not be usable. Later, it proved that ours was valid. He shook his head before letting us sit down. The dishes are ridiculously expensive, every sushi is as small as an emoji🍣, the blue and brown plates are not seen at all. We asked about the dishes on the blue plate, but the boss accused that "That's for vegetarianism. Are you here for fish?", and then said, "The sushi on the menu is on the turntable. Any other questions?" We chose most of the food on the red plate. I don’t know if the boss didn’t want us to continue to eat or what. He even put the food that used to be on the red plate, on the black plate!! Leaving only green and black on the turntable!!? We were very unhappy and left the restaurant. In short, it was a very unpleasant experience. The dishes were average and the service...

Overall not impressed! when you enter the place you’ll find it empty or one customer and you need to ask the waitress what is the concept and how it works. The system is you have a tray of sushi rolling and depending on the colour of the tray, they charge you different amount / from what I recall green decorated tray is around 7£ and least which is blue tray 4£ I was hoping for an authentic Japanese especially that one sushi piece isn’t cheap / it wasn’t. I tried from black tray pieces and they were not warm .. also after a while same pieces are introduced so no new variety or option. Service was ok - no warm welcome nor checking but maybe I am used to the Canadian way Overall I do not recommend- not worth the price and for someone with allergy it’s even worse because you won’t know what’s in each piece or you’ll have to ask for every tray and be that annoying customer

I came across this little gem while visiting a local gallery. After spending all day visiting mainstream galleries on the other side of London, this was a fabulous welcomed break. A small very authentic Japanese restraunt, intimate, quiet and friendly with a wonderful ambience. The food slowly circles on the conveyor belt allowing time to contemplate what to choose. The chef a master in his own art fires fresh fish with a flame torch just artfully skimming the fish. All food is freshly prepared, l found the experience made me feel l was back in Japan. This has wetted my appetite for when l return next week for a month. If you are in the area, it's well worth popping in.

A small sushi bar in Shepherd’s Market, Mayfair. They have about 10 stools, so advanced booking is recommended. That said, most customers tend to spend less than half an hour there. Some sushi plates are already prepared and you get them from the conveyor belt. Meanwhile, a chef is preparing more right next to the bar. Quite expensive, but expected. Me and my friend shared 14 plates (2 pieces of sushi on each plate) and a bottle of sake. We paid about £55 per person.
