Unfortunately I’ve just left here after just a drink. The server was lovely (she gets the only star on this review) I chose the Ragu as it was a simple meal advertised without cheese as an ingredient on the menu. Ragu came looking great but with cheese in, so I asked my server and the manager / owner shouted over that it does have cheese as it’s on the menu. I was then handy a dirty menu as the owner was adamant it was me that’s wrong and told me that I should have informed THEM of any allergies (nobody asked me and you should have correct allergen and ingredients on your menu ) I would have ordered again (minus the 🧀) or chosen a different dish but there a clear avoidance of wanting to rectify it. Again my server was lovely but the manager / owner had a horrible attitude and 0 hospitality skills

I wasnt particularly hungry and was just passing though the train station so my expectations weren't high. I was incredibly satifisied with this spot. I had Arancini, Foccata garlic bread, a peach bellini and frangelico. In hindsight I should have gone for a wine instead of the frangelico but thats on me. The service was pleasant and the bill was lower than I was expecting. I don't remember exactly how much I spent but a cocktail, a double shit of liqueur and 2 starter dishes came to arround £30. As a bit of a liquer snob more cocktail options would be welcome, it was a little odd to me that Frangelico and a couple other liqueurs were offered neat. Not an issue per-se but Itallian takes on the Espresso Martini using liqueurs like frangelico, Dissaronno or Galliano might be welcome additions.

Food was average at best. "Butterfly king prawn" apparently just means prawns with burnt toast. Bruscetta means tomatoes sliced in quarters and placed on plan sliced (not toasted) baguette. Salad had no dressing until asked (they forgot) at which point, was given to put on salad ourselves. Children's cheesy pasta means 13 tubes of penne just about coated in cheese sauce. Only one vegan main dish on the whole menu! Service was inattentive and very slow, which is an issue in a busy train station. One course and we were there 2 hours! Almost 50% of the menu was unavailable at 7pm. Not planning to return any time soon. 😕

Found the Male Server Rude and the Female server more interested in how she looked than being customer friendly. If you do not like your job find something else that you do like as you are in customer facing role. Ordered the Lasagne it was virtually thrown over the seating area at the back of us onto the table. We realise the plate was hot, but we wasn't even warned that what was going to happen so made me jump. He should always use a tea towel and bring it around facing the customer he threw it onto the table like he was feeding wild dogs. Started thinking was it a race thing. Now onto the food the lasagne was tasteless we had to add salt and lots of parmazan cheese which we had to ask for as not offered, to try and enhance the flavour but that didn't even work, first time going to this restaurant chain and it doesn't taste like authentic Italian food. Did not get any courtesy check from any of the staff to ask if the meal was OK. The restaurant was virtually empty so not like they were busy to have any excuse not to check. Had to request the bill, came over with the card machine took the payment with a basic thanks if he even said thanks. When we were leaving none of them said buy or thank you for our custom. Absolutely disgusting service worse experience we have had in a very long time. I don't give very poor reviews usually but could not let this go. Hoping this makes them think twice for future customers. I would have complained at the time but was too brain tired as had been a long busy weekend...

Went for breakfast today (19/04/24) at 08.15 before we got the train to London. Ordered coffee's with traditional breakfast meal deal. Was then informed that there was no pancetta, so opted for an extra sausage. Food finally arrived, cold plates, eggs burnt underneath, roast tomatoes cold ( as if they had just come out of the fridge), mushrooms cold, the "toast" was a slice of bread that wasn't toasted, dripping in olive oil. My wife has the poached eggs on toast, the eggs were more like hard boiled eggs. Terrible service, ordered an orange juice, apple juice was served. My wife ordered another coffee, 20 mins and it still hadn't arrived, so went to the counter to collect it to go, as we needed to get on the train. She asked for milk and sugar, the server confirmed it had milk and sugar, once on the train she tasted the coffee, it was black with no sugar. Never once did we get asked if everything was ok with the food, the manager and staff were to busy laughing and looking at there phones. This place has definitely gone downhill, we will not be coming again.

UPDATE - Carluccios have messaged asking for me to email them, which I have tried to do 3 or 5 times, and each time my message is blocked so I cannot email them........ absolute joke and the poorest customer service I have ever...

Ah, breakfast, the most important meal of the day! I recently stumbled upon this charming little restaurant that served the most scrumptious breakfast I've ever had. It was a delightful experience, to say the least.

Upon entering, I was greeted by a pleasant ambiance and a warm smile. The staff was attentive and made me feel right at home. Ah yes, our charming little blonde girl from the kitchen, Anna. She was an absolute delight! Her service was simply extraordinary. Attentive, kind, and with a genuine passion for what she does. It's not every day that you find such a gem in the culinary world.

Now, let's talk about the food. Oh, the food! It was a breakfast lover's paradise. From fluffy pancakes to perfectly cooked eggs, every dish was a masterpiece. The flavors danced on my taste buds, leaving me craving for more. I must admit, my taste buds were quite impressed.

So, if you're in the mood for a delectable breakfast experience served by the wonderful Anna, I highly recommend visiting this charming restaurant. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. But hey, don't just take my word for it. Go ahead and see for yourself. Happy...
