After a long trip from Birmingham, the hope for a tasty breakfast proved disappointing.

Our waitress was definitely sub-par and could have done with some training in basic customer service; she was totally inattentive, uncomfortably short and abrupt with us, and disturbed our and another customer’s table by shutting a large window next to where we’d sat—today was one of the first nice days of the year and we had chosen to sit next to a lovely open window, but were forced to move around her so she could shut it, the reasoning being something to do with a draft going to the kitchen. We ultimately moved seats.

The food was average (I don’t recommend the beans!) and much too overpriced for what you get. I don’t mind paying a bit extra for nice food, but this just wasn’t worth it!

It’s unfortunate that we disliked our experience so much—all the other reviews are so favourable, I expected a lovely time there. The ambience is very nice (when you can get served—we were there for about thirty minutes before we were asked about our food) and the other two waitresses were lovely and friendly. However, this couldn’t make up for the poor service, overpriced food, and long waiting times—an...

Visited numerous times since opening. Each time hoping the service is quicker. Unfortunately we waited half an hour for a sandwich & coffee. Whilst I don’t like to be hurried, the waiting time exceeded our expectations based on our very dimple order. There were 3 members of counter staff available
at the counter. There were only 6 other diners seated: some eating, some waiting for their orders. There were tables that were empty, some still had the remnants of food & crockery on them . We waited patiently to be acknowledged and for someone to come & clean our table. We had to ask for this to be done; asked twice for menus ( in the end I had to go & retrieve my own) and had to ask for cutlery and side plates some time after our meals were served. Given that the place was practically empty with less than half the tables occupied & 3 members of staff gathered behind the counter it’s not what you would expect. So from a customer service point of view it was very poor. However
. On a more positive note
the food was fresh, of an amble portion and utterly delicious! So
. Come on Bloom & Wild show us what you can do. There’s too much completion out there to disregard...

A lovely local spot in Didsbury village with a great menu - good prices and really generous portions.

Ordered a Club Sandwich and Pancakes on my first visit. They were kind enough to customise the Pancakes with just Nutella for my daughter. The Club Sandwich was huge and extremely tasty! Struggled to finish the contents of the plate. Great customer service on this occasion - good attention to detail, timely approaches and friendly manner.

On a second visit, unfortunately the customer service left a lot to be desired. Aloof waiter, haphazard table service and our waiter was staring into space behind the bar even though we had asked for the bill numerous times. Ordered Coffees, a Brownie and a Hash Brown on this occasion and we only really enjoyed the Coffees.

Overall, a lovely spot for brunch or lunch. Customer service needs to be...

It’s always wonderful to see how busy this place gets on weekends, so with a rare mid-week day off, I seized the opportunity to visit! I ordered the French toast with fresh berries, drizzled with white chocolate, and it was an absolute treat. Paired with a perfectly made cappuccino, it was exactly what I needed. The service was friendly and attentive, which, sadly, isn’t something you find in every cafĂ© these days. I think people often forget that family-run businesses are exactly that—run by families! They thrive on patience, appreciation, and community support. Now more than ever, local independents need us to show up for them. If you’re looking for food made with care and served with a smile, this is the place to be. Much love to the owners—your cafĂ© always puts a smile on my face. I hope this review does the same for you and your staff! 😊

I ordered a Turkish eggs, which came with yogurt feta chilli oil, two poached eggs and sourdough bread. I feel like it was missing some seasoning to make it a traditional Turkish eggs, but maybe it was there take on it. I also ordered a dark chocolate hot chocolate that I wasn’t a fan of. The chocolate sunk to the bottom even when stirring so you mostly got milk then intense chocolate. It was very busy so clearly the locals are a fan, however this did mean a long wait and that it was quite a hard time flagging down the waitstaff. I think they may need one more person during their busier periods. It was also very loud and quite difficult to hear in the small cafe, I think they would benefit from some sound absorbers. I liked the vibes of this place and would be up for coming back to try their lunch or dinner menu.
