We visited last night with my wife's sister, husband and little son, as they are Vegans. As soon as we arrived the staff looked rushed off their feet and couldn't even find out booking! finally they found us a table upstairs which was fine with us. They took our order and 20 minutes later the dishes starting coming out, straight away we noticed that half the mains were served at the same time as the starters, they somehow messed that up in the kitchen, i mean how unprofessional can you get?

This was only noticed by them after we noticed it, half hour later we still hadn't been served out mains while the rest of the party was finished! they apologized and told us again that our food would be out soon, to which we responded no thanks its now to late. after that they were a lot less friendly so we just paid and left.

I really really do not understand the fuss about this restaurant, yes it caters for Vegans etc, i guess they don't have as high standards or choice around the area?

Regarding the starters i had the Tom Yam soup which was incredibly plain, hence left it. the Duck was decent, however you get a plate of of duck, but 5 tiny pancakes??

I ended up having chips and curry, might as well gone to my local chippy!

Poor Bland Restaurant and i will surely...

Have had food from here twice now, once by delivery and today in person. Which I'm so glad I did!

Both were great but I really enjoyed going in, it's a smaller restaurant but well decorated, wonderfully clean and a great atmosphere/aura to it.

The staff was incredibly kind and highly attentive.

We had the steam combo, a definite recommendation as it gives you a good idea of what each one is like. But all are so good it's worth a reorder to have the variety.

The golden fried chicken was delicious as were the sauces it came with. My non vegan husband quite enjoyed it. (a great recommendation for those bringing non vegans)

Fried combo was delightful, perfectly hot, great flavor and paired with the sauces, even better. Also love the presentation of all the food.

I've also tried the pad Thai here which is another I'd also recommend.

The raspberry lychee fizz is also great and having the lychee at the bottom felt like a little dessert when I was done.

All in all, this place is a gem and it leaves you feeling refreshed. A good place for starter vegans or non...

I am visiting the UK from the US and was worried finding vegan options would be difficult. This place is one of many that caught my eye, and I think everyone should give it a try!

The inside is fairly small, which is something I like, as it won't be overcrowded or loud. It's very cute and clean. The employees are very friendly, attentive, and helpful at explaining the menu if you've never been.

Something that's hard for me to find in the US is vegan Asian dishes so when I saw this place I was worried the food wouldn't be great or there wouldn't be many options but the ENTIRE menu is vegan and the food was absolutely fantastic, I'll be going again before I leave.

I ordered jasmine tea, bao buns (duck is something I miss a lot from before I was vegan and the texture and flavor of this hit the spot and was similar to actual duck buns I had in the past), caramel tofu, and pi pa tofu. The textures and flavors...

Easily the best vegan spot in Manchester! Lotus Plant Based Kitchen never disappoints — the menu is packed with variety, offering everything from comforting traditional dishes to creative, modern plates that make you do a double-take (in a good way). Every dish is a work of art — beautifully presented, thoughtfully balanced, and packed with flavour. You can tell the chef puts real care into every element. It’s the kind of food that makes you slow down and savour every bite. The vibe is warm and inviting, with spotless surroundings that make you feel instantly at ease. The service? Absolutely stellar. Annie looked after us like a pro — her recommendation of the daily special was a total winner. She’s friendly, knows the menu inside out, and you can tell she genuinely loves the food she’s serving. Whether you're plant-based or just love good food, Lotus is a must-visit. Can’t wait to go back!
