So tried a few dishes on the very first day of the opening and below is the Verdict. Though it was very busy but I waited nearly 2 hours for the order to be ready. The guys were clueless with managing the Orders and people were regularly missing items in their order.
Chicken Sweet Corn Soup It tastes bland with no Flavour whatsoever and had only one or two pieces of chicken. I wouldn’t order it for the price they’ve advertised. ⭐️⭐️⭐️/10
Salt & Pepper Chicken Bites This is simply chicken bites fried in a batter with no flavour or any seasoning and was just tossed with some onions and etc again totally disappointed. Not worth at all. ⭐️⭐️/10
Dynamite Chicken Bites Again the same chicken bites fried in a batter with no flavour or any seasoning and this was just topped with their sauce with was just Creamy Burger sauce - NOT a Dynamite sauce as they claim. Again very Disappointing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️/10
Chicken Fried Rice The rice was heavily soaked with Soya sauce and apart from a few small pieces of chicken and some green chillies - there was hardly anything stands out, lacking flavour and any seasoning. Not worth ordering. ⭐️⭐️⭐️/10
Chicken Chow Mein The only dish which stood out among my order which had some flavour and seasoning. Though not as you would expect but it tasted much better than everything else. Though I wouldn’t order again....
The Best King Prawn Chow Mein from wok chef
I ordered second time on Uber and first time I collected a takeaway.
I’ve had my fair share of chow mein over the years, but the king prawn chow mein from wok chef is on another level. From the moment I opened the takeaway box, the aroma of garlic, soy, and sesame hit me warm, rich, and utterly mouthwatering.
The noodles were cooked to perfection—soft with just the right amount of bite, coated in a flavorful sauce that wasn’t too oily or overpowering. The vegetables added a fresh crunch, balancing the dish beautifully. But the real stars? The king prawns. Juicy, plump, and perfectly cooked, they had that sweet, delicate seafood flavor that pairs so well with the smoky wok-fried noodles. Unlike some places that skimp on the prawns, this dish was generously packed with them.
Every bite was a perfect mix of savory, umami goodness. Whether you’re a chow mein lover or just craving a solid Chinese takeaway, this one is a must-try. I’ll definitely be ordering it again when I’m back up from Leeds. & thank you to the lad who answered the phone and I told him I wanted virtually less oil in the chow mein for diet...
Read moreHaving came to visit my in-laws i googled halal Thai/Chinese and googled recommended me this place, after reading the reviews and looking at the picture I thought lets go and have a visit, thus myself the partner and the kids visited the place, the service entering the premises was second to none
We were greeted with a friendly smile and whilst ordering the guys explained the cooking steps and what I expected in terms of spiceness and expectations , the food came out within 10-15 mins and each dish was fresh, hot and the right level of spice, we ordered the Wok Chef special x2 in rice and noodles medium spice and the kids ordered the same but no spice
we enjoyed the food and the kids were very happy, portion to value was great and we really had no complaints. We will 100% visit again when in the area, guys please understand this is an Indo-Chinese format of food not your average Thai/Chinese take away thus please have that expectations..
In a time where cost of living has gone up the prices at this place are great and the food really fantastic and has met my...
