I used to be a regular customer here since it opened and when I say regular I mean I used to go weekly or several times a week and order 2/3 teas each time. I order the same each and every time so I’m familiar with how these flavours taste from here. I took a break for a while and came back a few days ago again ordering the same flavours. The drink tasted off and made me throw up . Considering I’ve spent a lot of money here and have been a loyal customer who has never complained once I decided to go back on this occasion to complain as the drinks upset my stomach within a half hour time span of purchasing … I couldn’t bring myself to finish it and I’m sure it’s due to the hygiene standard as I’ve seen many times they just pile new bobas and jelly on top of the old one which has probably been sitting there for days and l noticed recently there’s no fresh running water and bring the water to make the tea on the same trolley they take the bins on…. I don’t know what the taste was but it was horrible and when I asked for a refund the young boy with the silver chain on very abruptly and rudely said we don’t do refunds almost like he was offended with me complaining and when I asked for a replacement he just muttered under neath his voice “made her sick ok” as if I was lying or something… anyway the second drink tasted exactly the same when I was eating the boba so it definitely was the ingredients … this is not how it’s meant to taste something is off!! Money wasted. TERRIBLE and rude customer service for a customer who has been so loyal . Will be going back to chatime next...
Read moreI ordered a brown sugar milk tea with oat milk, 100% sugar as a large, when I received my order it tasted like 100% oat milk. I hadn’t walk far from the kiosk so I headed back and spoke to guy at the politely and explained that the drink didn’t taste like anything but milk aside from the tapioca. He proceeded to tell me he believes whoever made the order placed 100% sugar and if I didn’t like the drink there’s nothing he can do in a rude demeanour. I then explained I had gotten the same order enough times from the same kiosk to know that this is not 100% sugar, that I do like the drink as it’s my regular order but that there is not 100% sugar.
He then said would I like him to put more sugar in which I responded yes. He did not only take off the sealable lid before placing the sugar. He literally made a bigger hole with his hand. My straw was still in there and his hands were not sanitary as he had just been on the till when I approached him. Instead of placing a new sealable lid , he handed me the drink back with a larger hole which is not practical as I was walking in a busy environment and could of split the drink...
Read moreSummary: Powdery, overpriced, taste okay, wont come back.
A while back, i tried Ci Tea for the first time and got Taro milk tea and it was powdery as F. The taste was fine but it was just powder, powder, powder. Seems the staff didn't have those mixers so they hand shook them. It was unfortunate because taro is my go to order.
Fortunately staff was nice and pleasant but seem overworked and very crowded and busy to put much care in the drinks.
Recently, i went with my dad and brother and i got Matcha. Horrible and it just had as much powder as i remember. My dad and brother had the same problem and it was disappointing. Additionally, i notice they put way less toppings/boba than other businesses, which could be good or bad in other peoples eyes if they like less boba.
You can definitely get much cheaper and better quality of boba nearby like Chatime or any local...
