ZION OR HEAVEN ON EARTH GABRIELLE - THE BARTENDER - THE ANGEL THAT TENDERED TO ME
Walking into Be At One feels like stepping into another dimensionâone where the worries of the outside world melt away, and you're left with nothing but good vibes, great drinks, and an atmosphere that can only be described as heavenly.
Gabrielle, the bartender, or should I say, the angel, was more than just someone behind the barâshe was a guide through the world of mixology. With a warm smile and an effortless charm, she made the experience personal, almost ethereal. You could tell she loved what she was doing, and it showed in every carefully crafted drink she served.
And speaking of drinks, I went with the Raspberry Beret, the most popular cocktail on the menu. Itâs been holding its place for at least five years, despite the menu undergoing at least three changes a year. That says a lot about a drinkâitâs not just a trend; itâs a staple, a legend in its own right. The blend of flavours was smooth yet exciting, familiar yet surprising. Itâs the kind of drink that makes you savor every sip, appreciating the craftsmanship behind it.
The bar itself radiates a golden glow, reflecting off the endless bottles lining the shelves like treasures waiting to be discovered. The dim lighting, the pulsing music, the buzz of lively conversationsâit all comes together to create an environment that feels electric and intimate at the same time.
Whether you're here to unwind, celebrate, or simply soak in the magic of the place, Be At One doesnât disappoint. Itâs more than a bar; itâs an experience, a sanctuary, a little slice of heaven on earth. And with Gabrielle behind the bar, you know you're in...
Read moreReally disappointed. The night started off really good, we were all enjoying ourselves in the corner minding our own buisness in a booth when one of the members of staff (I think his name was Michael) approached my friend telling her quite aggressively to take her hat off, she took her hat off (feeling quite confused) and then one of my other friends put it on, and the same member of staff came over but with the back up of a large bouncer (we were a group of girls with one lad so it felt quite dramatic) telling us we need to leave very aggressively. We were all very confused as to why we were being kicked out over a hat, especially when there were other people with hats on in the bar who were not being asked to leave. When stood outside feeling quite upset about the whole incident one of the doormen was particularly lovely and really helped to diffuse the situation - he explained why forward caps aren't fond of because of cctv purposes (still makes no sense why the other person wasn't asked to leave - probably because he was a man) if the other guy had explained that to us in the beginning calmly and respectfully then we would have understood. Instead he came across as a young angry boy on a power trip who needed back up from his friend against a group of girls. Sad. We were really enjoying the...
Read moreVisited on a Friday night (16/12). Queued outside for a while which was expected as it was a weekend but when we finally got inside, we could barely move as so many people were crammed inside. This meant the atmosphere was not fun and definitely not comfortable, we couldn't even stand still without our arms being nudged and spilling our drinks, let alone attempt to dance. This also made me seriously question health, safety and capacity restrictions. In addition to this, the wait time for drinks was prolonged due to the bartenders stopping every 5 minutes to dance and to throw ice in the air over themselves and everybody waiting to buy drinks - I understand the fun in this but it gets old quickly when good and prompt service is sacrificed as a result. When I was finally served, drinks prices were extortionate, £18 for two drinks (two single vodka and sodas). Inflation and the price of living could be a factor but seriously? We left shortly after and it is highly unlikely we will return which is a shame as we've been before and had an enjoyable experience. The only good point I must mention is how polite and friendly the...
