We were visiting one of the VR experiences in Nottingham and thought we would make an evening of grabbing something to eat before we went. My boys absolutely love chicken wings so when they spotted the meal deal for all you can eat they couldn’t wait. We arrived before the opening time of 5pm to make sure we had plenty of time to get to the VR experience and for the boys to enjoy a leisurely tea. The door was opened gone 5pm with the first bar tender not even cracking a smile to say hello. We stood in the entrance with no welcome. We approached the bar and started to order drinks. Whilst pouring the drinks we were told that children weren’t permitted in the bar after 6pm. At this point we considered the time constraint but the boys were eager to eat the wings. We then asked if we could sit anyway to which the waitress shrugged and said yeah. We went upstairs as the boys wanted to look at the arcade games. As we found a table there were no menus so back downstairs we went and collected one off the bar. During this time 3 staff were stood talking. After looking at the menu and realising on the app we couldn’t order we then went back down stairs to the bar to ask how it worked. We then returned back upstairs to ask the boys what they would like. During this time staff were stood looking at their phones. We finally had some chicken wings arrive after 25 minutes. To be fair the staff came swiftly to bring along the second portion but then the children were left sat waiting for their third portion. Due to the length of the wait the staff then approached to tell us we had to be out in 12 minutes. This made the boys feel rushed and uncomfortable, one wasn’t able to finish his meal as he was worried out getting into trouble.
All in all a thoroughly awful experience. The young man that served us was trying to give the best service he could but the woman with the straight black hair was so miserable he had no chance of redeeming the experience for us.
The chicken wings- well they...

Checking out the menu, I saw that they had vegan seitan wings - my lucky day! 😍 Seitan being one of my favorite foods that I eat literally every day (as a vegan gym rat who needs his protein, haha).
A waiter quickly brought my drink and I asked him whether I could try all four of the sauces with the wings. He initially said no, you have to pick one and pay extra for the others. That was disappointing and I didn't really understand, from the picture on the menu it looked like the wings were "tossed" in the sauce already in the kitchen, so why couldn't they just use the different sauces for 3 wings each instead of one for all twelve? 🤔 And then, to make matters worse, a few seconds later the sun went behind a building. Arrgh. Now I was sitting outside in the wind with a cold drink and would only get to try one flavor of wings.
So wasn't I pleasantly surprised when the "wings" came out unsauced with four different sauces in little plastic containers! Nice one!
To make a long story short, the wings were delicious, the sauces were delicious, it was also a huge portion (900 calories for 12 wings I was told, packing about 150 grams of powerful plant protein - woohoo) so great value for the price. And to top it all off, the sun came back out ☀️☀️☀️
Thank you Blind Rabbit, you saved the day 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 (although maybe update the pic...
Read moreBooked here a month or so ago with friends coming to visit Nottingham and had promising expectations. It was fairly busy on a Saturday night so we had to wait a fair bit to get our drink orders in at the bar (which was fine) but it took some effort to try get the attention of any staff member/server to be seated to our table (who forgot about us and started chatting with someone until we asked if our table was ready). Eventually got sat shown but realised it was only a table of 4 at a push and I had a reservation of 5 people. When we informed a staff member (after finding one once again) they said they had accidentally mixed round tables with a party of 3 sat next to us (which again would’ve been okay as mistakes happen) but I was told “if you ask them nicely they might swap with you”. I was quite shocked from this to say anything back and suffer with social anxiety so didn’t fancy any confrontation. So felt incredibly awkward having to interrupt some ladies just about to eat their food. Luckily they were lovely and swapped with us. The food was average and nothing special. Nice decor and lively atmosphere but the service really put a downer on the night. Maybe it would’ve been different on a less busy night but with significantly inattentive service, unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend. Shared my feedback internally but never...
