As I click 2 stars, I feel a little bad. The staff are genuinely helpful and friendly, the quality and preparation of the food was there, and the look and the feel of the bar is really nice. But mainly because I f**cking love Junkyard, so I know they can do better.
My main gripe is the food. Of all the meals on the table had, something was lacking from almost every one. The burgers lacked acidity and a sauce...some relish would have been heavenly! My taco need more salsa, and some cheese, and maybe even some sour cream: anything Mexican that contained moisture. If you serve a Cuban sandwich, you should probably at least cut it in half, make an effort to present it a little better (a token salad perhaps?). The fish cakes looked yummy, I think they were a success. Over all, individual parts of the meal tasted great, but the meals themselves were disappointing.
The drinks list as lacking enough detail on what was available, and didn't make enough deal about the beers on offer.

I will always call out ⅔ beers at pint prices as seems to becoming a trend in some ...

You need something strong and these are perfect
We're moving up in the next couple months; if the chef is still here, he's the owner; if he's not, I'll understand...
