A fully vegan pub is a rare thing to find and this place didn't disappoint. We visited mid-afternoon and it was quiet but enjoyable as the music playing was very different and interesting. The decor in the main bar is nice but a little tired as the toilets were too, my only reason for not giving five stars. Food was brilliant. The tofu-fish was fantastic, perfect in fact. The leek and mushroom pie was very tasty and lovely pastry. Good portion sizes and reasonably priced. We also got to try the aubergine and courgette cake which was absolutely delicious, just like carrot cake. Will definitely be back next time in Nottingham. Not all drinks are vegan but staff know which are/aren't so ask first.

This is an absolute Gem of a place for like minded vegans to come and be enchanted by the days of yesteryear and try some of the best vegan dishes I've personally encountered throughout my world travels. If you want Great, hearty and traditionally served 100% vegan food then look no further...This is the place to try! Dont leave without trying a slice of cake of the day! You will have to experience it to understand. Staff are knowledgeable and super friendly relaxed and attentive. There are two rooms to eat in...the bar area and the lounge; goto the lounge to absorb the history and feel the atmosphere of days gone by!.. truly enthralling! 🦄☀️ to all those that do come here...Enjoy!

I remember visiting this pub in the late 1970s and I went then because I had heard about the possibly unique push bell ordering system in the lounge. Back then the Peacock was a very old-fashioned and scruffy boozer, but certainly not lacking in charm. I’m delighted to see that it has survived and seems to be thriving. The interior has been refurbished sensitively and retains the original features including the push bells. Really friendly staff and well worth a visit.

Ah, so much has changed!

[Seasonal update: the BEST decorated Hallowe'en pub in Nottingham, and it looks like Christmas is gonna be another absolute banger.]

The new boys in charge have had the place restored and properly cleaned up. Lovely retention of period features and the inclusion of screens is done tastefully. New toilets are spotless.

There's a really welcoming atmosphere that leaves you wanting to keep coming. The crowd are mainly local, which is great for a city centre boozer. Afternoons and weeknights are never rowdy, and there's a lounge where you can summon the charming staff to your table by pressing a subtle button in the wall.

An eccentric Austrian Empire mantel clock chimes the hours, the resident pooch (Tia - as in Maria) will inspect your bags, and the prices are pretty good for town.

Overtly LGBTQ+ friendly, the Peacock is back as a part of Nottingham after a difficult few years pre-Lockdown. Definitely a place to...

Its okay love that is a vegan pub, brilliant for those of use that have dietary requirements. Used to love the options off the old menu however the meal I chose off the set menu was nice (was just unhappy to go get something and things changed). No baby changing facilities, toilets are cold not very clean or stocked well. It defiantly needs a revamp and a deep clean. Tables are sticky and never clean when I go so I have to ask to wipe again or do myself. Coffee is aweful. Range of cold drinks and spirits are good. Deserts arnt always in stock for what's up. On a plus the Staff are very friendly and welcoming and are always willing to help. Compliments to the chefs. However food takes too long from ordering to come out and when ordering desert it takes longer...
