We visited for my husbands birthday, after not being back for years, and had a great experience & honestly wondered why it had taken us so long to return. Our welcome was friendly and our server Scarlet was wonderful throughout. Very personable, kind and helpful with any questions we had. She was probably the most polite waitress I’ve had in any restaurant in a long time which just made the whole experience so much better. Food was delicious and came quickly, we especially enjoyed our starters which was a lovely surprise as we were really there for the steak main. Apart from not having any fillet available (think they sold out), I could not fault the overall experience. The Camembert mash was life changing and will be the a returning favourite in the future! We were also pleasantly surprised by how busy it was for a Wednesday evening - really nice atmosphere and the building it’s in just speaks for itself. The set menu was a great way to have an affordable meal out which held a lot of options for all people with whatever food preferences or allergies they may have. We were also pleasantly surprised but how big the menu is overall and amount of options for people who may not opt for a traditional steak. Overall we left feeling very full, happy and are planning on returning very soon.

We visited tonight 29/08/24, it was our first time at a miller and carter and visited as we fancied steak and the prices were reasonable and reviews were good. The building was nice and there was ample parking, however we were left at the “waiting to be seated” desk for nearly 10 minutes, at which point a queue of 7 people were waiting to be seated. We were stood in plain view with my disabled mother on a walking stick being with us. Multiple staff walked past and didn’t say anything, the lady at the bar said someone would be with us however we had to flag down a waitress and mention we have been waiting 10 minutes for her to apologise and then proceed to sit us. The lady from Canada who served us was amazing! Super friendly and polite and took the time to explain any questions and have a conversation, a true asset to the team and she needs a pay rise! The food was great, we had a 3 course and really enjoyed it! The experience would have been 5/5 if we were made to feel welcome initially and not just left wondering if we were ever going to be seated, and it would have been lower if it wasn’t for the lovely lady serving us.

My husband and I have been to Miller & Carter a few times in the past and have never been able to fault our food or experience, in fact it's become our favourite place to eat on a special occasion. So this time we decided to bring our 10-year-old son along for his first rodeo for belated Father's Day celebrations. Well he's a tough critic and rated his visit a top 9.5! The steaks were cooked to perfection and he was in awe of the setting. We'd also like to give special mention to our waitress Alex who had a lovely way with him and went out of her way to ensure he had a brilliant first experience. Thank you for another lovely meal and time and we'll be back again soon 😊

My husband and I went to Plymouths Miller and Carter for a treat last week, we took advantage of the 3 course fixed lunch offer. The value was amazing, Rob and Tim and the rest of team in the kitchen plated up some lovely food, My calamari were light and crispy, my husband’s chicken chipotle starter was full of flavour, our steaks were cooked perfectly, nice and juicy, the onion loaf was amazing, never tasted anything like that before. We also enjoyed a couple of delicious cocktails. Waitresses were lovely and welcoming. Thoroughly enjoyed the ambience. Lovely lunch walked off by a stroll around the Barbican after. We will do it again.

Beautiful steakhouse! I generally try to avoid ordering steak in restaurants, but I was pleased I did in this place. The steak was beautiful, and cooked exactly as requested. The "dirty burger" was also very good (if you're looking to save some pennies). We ordered a mix of starters, all of which were good, though the Chipotle chicken bites really stood out as a winner! Friendly staff, that made the effort to fix up a little something for my birthday! Drinks were reasonable priced. The layout feels nicely spaced out, with a relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend for any date or celebration! Good stuff.
