Delhi Authentic Restaurant in Portsmouth offers a truly delightful culinary journey that captures the essence of Indian flavors. During my visit, I indulged in a variety of dishes, each showcasing exceptional taste and quality.
The Sev Poori was a refreshing start, with crispy puris topped with tangy tamarind and vibrant chutneys. The Samosa Chaat, loaded with spices and textures, was an explosion of flavor. For mains, the Dum Chicken Biryani stole the show with its perfectly cooked, fragrant rice and tender chicken pieces.
The Malai Chicken was rich, creamy, and melt-in-the-mouth, while the Konkani Chicken stood out with its coastal-inspired spices and depth of flavor. The Papadam Chaat added a crunchy and innovative twist to traditional starters.

I had the pleasure of dining at Delhi in Portsmouth, and I must say it was an unforgettable culinary journey. The highlight for me was their biryani and Konkani gravy – simply exceptional!
The biryani was wonderfully aromatic, with the perfect balance of spices. The rice was fluffy, and every bite was packed with flavour. It’s easily one of the best biryanis I’ve had in a long time.
The Konkani gravy was equally remarkable, with its rich, bold flavours and delicate spicing. The blend of coconut and coastal spices transported me to the Konkan coast, and it paired beautifully with the fresh, warm naan. They gave dal and fresh Indian yogurt and onion as requested for free.
The service was impeccable, and the ambience warm and inviting. A must-visit for anyone in Portsmouth craving authentic Indian cuisine. I’ll definitely...

I would definitely visit them again if I were to visit Portsmouth again. Some tasks daal and rice for my child and she loved it!! The daal was just like or better than what we would prepare in Indian homes but with no extra oil nonsense that some Indian restaurants put in - very clean and healthy!
The presentation was so good - at par with any fancy restaurant. We demolished it within seconds… so delicious!!!! The picture I’m uploading is just a glimpse of the food, and clicked more as an after thought! But really, you wouldn’t regret visiting this place.
Here’s a disclaimer - the ambience is very basic, but the warmth of the staff covers up for it. I still gave it a 5 star because I wouldn’t want them to rate any less just because of...
