Enjoyed a mid week dinner here with my parents, they frequently visit this restaurant so I thought I'd join them!
It's a small restaurant along a parade of shops in Southsea and has a nice independent owned vibe, always prefer these types of places.
The service and staff are very friendly and attentive. Our waiter knew a few quirks of my parents and tailored the evening to their preferences.
Our food was served in a reasonable timeframe and was very hot, so obviously fresh. We shared three starters between us three plus prawn crackers. This was plenty of food to wet the whistle.
Mother usually asks for a small break in between start and main dishes but this time opted not to; must have been hungry. The mains followed around 10-15 minutes after our starters were cleared which was fine by me.
Main dishes were again, very hot and freshly prepared. I enjoyed all of them specifically the lamb massaman.
The menu has a lot to offer so would suit most tastes and also includes an extensive vegetarian selection which is good.
Overall, will visit again and...
Read moreAs it is small place quite noisy so when we called and asked for table for 4 said yes. Halal chicken.
Free parking maybe available nearby but will be busier when Kings Theatre has shows on.
We arrived to find only table for 2 reserved as that is what they thought we said on phone so they got some extra chairs to get 4 of us on small table.
Waiter guy was very professional.
Drinks are a reasonable price.
Food was tasty but I would say not authentic when it comes to spice level (mild).

Read moreWw were in Southsea on a wet Saturday night in January and looking for somewhere to eat. And luckily, we managed to walk in and get a table here. Initially, we were told we only had an hour before another booking. But then the staff managed to shuffle a few tables to make more space, so we had longer.
It was a fantastic meal, with delicious food and excellent service. My wife had the Gai Tord, followed by Lamb Massaman curry, which were both wonderful. And I had the spicy fishcakes, followed by Roast Duck Pad Thai, both of which were mouth-wateringly good. We would have had dessert, but we were stuffed! We'll definitely be back next time we're...
