A small Japanese restaurant with a comprehensive menu. My thoughts were that if they can get some of the basics and classics right you can guarantee that you can order anything and come away satisfied. The good thick cut tuna sashimi, a satisfying miso soup and melt in the mouth unagi proved Minnie's sushi has got it exactly right. The service was friendly and quick. They may have to improve their Yakitori- the cooking and saucing of it. A slight disappointment there but overall the rest of the dishes made up for it. Read moreThis place opened up across our street a while ago and we’ve been meaning to go - wish we would have gone sooner! The sushi was so fresh and tasted amazing, the spring rolls were light and crispy, we asked for a recommendation which was the chicken teriyaki - absolutely amazing would definitely get again. We got some miso soup as well that we didn’t order (I’m guessing the owners were being very nice and generous) usually I’m not a fan of miso soup but it was really tasty and I would order again!! The friendly staff are fantastic, and while it is quite small inside, there was no sense of crowding around the tables or chairs. The decor is fresh and bright. The menu is really extensive and the food quality is superb - if you liked Nara you will love Minnies. In particular the Nigiri was some of the freshest and most succulent I have eaten.
