Came in here for dinner on Sunday 12th February, was not very busy and only seemed to be one person serving and one cooking. Served quickly enough and ordered the food - 2 fish and chips with some sides and drinks - most of it was fine bar the fish which was full of bones.

The waiter never came near after serving so couldnt raise it and was pressed for time as had to catch a train so we pressed on and ate as much as possible, myself having to stop and spit it out as a sharp bone (thankfully) lodged between my teeth, if it hadnt I might have choked. My son then showed me a similar size bone in his. I then called the waiter over and asked for the bill and alerted him to the bones and said it wasnt good enough.

He was polite and apologised but said it wasnt their fault as they got the fish in - dont they fillet it properly? Is it cheap cuts? I was surprised however when he brought the bill for £36 with no deductions for the poor quality bone infested fish which I challenged - he said he didnt have authority as only the manager could do discounts and he wasnt in. I didnt have time to argue due to catching the train but this is nowhere near good enough. I dont recommend and wont be back here in a...

I needed a quick but satisfying sit down tea and, hesitantly, after shunning several so called "cool" dining places and in a bit of rush, I opted to enter the Blue Lagoon underneath Central Station arches. I was greeted by "the boss" behind the fish bar and introduced to a very pleasant waitress who saw me to a table in this unromantic but good old fashioned fish tea restaurant. The menu is more than just fish n' chips (fish cakes, scampi and calamari n' chips are also offered!) The waitress dealt with my order very pleasantly and efficiently and my food was soon in front of me - cod (2 large pieces), chips, mushy peas, lemons, bread and butter and a pot of tea - I was in heaven! My journey through heaven when I tasted the fish - it was evidently fresh fish and cooked just to perfection - white, flaky and tasty. I had to check out more and found that this is one of a number of fish restaurants in Glasgow founded by Ersilio Varese, who insists on using Jus Dripping to fry his fish. Here's to you Ersilio - it makes all the difference. I left a happy man and thanked the staff appropriately - the waitress, the fryer and "the boss". Way more than I had expected and a credit to Glasgow. Please...

Maryhill to central station bridge well worth the journey if your looking for place to eat where (Yvonne ) main member of staff makes sure you have a natural welcome thats is genuine like rest off staff i started going to this esatablishment since end of lockdown and my reason for 5 stars is the service is just that you decide when you want service although staff are happy to help and give advice .

The establishment is always clean spotles from cieling to floor as they say as a regular visitors to the restraunt from a disabled persons point of few i have false limb and as i have seen plenty of space for wheelchairs if required ,

my regular meal is quick breakfast , and is cooked fresh as required not unlike some other establishment where food is mass prepared and kept in hot cabinet and delivered in a grease free presnetation i look forward to weekjly visits now i am retired Maryhill to central station Bridge well worth ...

Read about blue Lagoon history and good reviews about this branch fish and chips. It's terribly wrong. No one was dining in the eatery. However, a handful of takeouts can be seen. Never thought much about it since another branch had quite a fair bit of crowd, and I wouldn't mind a quiet dinner near the station. Bought the combo for both brradcrumbs and batter. - bread was stale - breadcrumbs fish n chip was overfried. But the fish tastes fine. - The batter was slightly salty as I would have liked it, and the fish didn't taste good. I'm not sure why it tastes different from the fish serve in breadcrumb - The curry was terrible. Typical curry from a block(think of Japanese curry) Tartar sauce was ok Only silver lining - Service was good. As it is my first visit to glasgow, I am totally disappointed with my first fish and chips experience in the UK. And I cant understand how did this branch received so many reviews yet not a single soul dining in.
